So I’m scared because I don’t feel absolutely gorg in my dress since my weight gain. I had my dress altered & added a back to hide my football back I ended up with after the weight gain. Does the dress look weird now ? She’s pulling the sheer in tighter so it’s more laid down to my body. After my weight gain dress was a whole dress size too big.

I think the back looks fine but I’m not loving the mesh on the front neckline… what did it look like before? Where did the straps go?

nonablu : the mesh was always there. Wanted it removed but there was no structure and support to hold the dress up with how it was made 🙁

Oh sorry! Actually in the new picture it looks fine 🙂 I couldn’t see the nice boat neckline with your hair down. I think back and front are good now.

nonablu : hahaha no worries. TBH I still don’t like the front but will make it work and maybe with hair and make up it’ll look better. Thank you for your honesty 🙂

Honestly i like the back better now then the original. The pearl strings look more put together, the extra material closes the back up a bit more and gives it a classier feel. It looks lovely

lcb2013 : If you don’t like the mesh, would it be possible to remove it and add spaghetti straps to hold up the top?
Back looks great though

I agree with a pp that I prefer the back now to the original back. And i think the front looks good too!

I think the mesh is because it’s actually too big on the top. Once it’s properly fitted it should look better. I aslo believe that another bra, one with more padding, could help.

I think the back looks better now than before and gives it more structure to the back. The mesh seems a litlle bit or too light of a color against your skintone?

kimmacph : I agree. The new back is an upgrade!

lcb2013 : your dress is gorgeous! Your rear assets 😉look great:) (sorry for being creepy!)
the mesh in the back looks great, the wrinkles look like the dress torso is possibly too long for you. The fix for this could be easy and address the front mesh, which isn’t as flattering as it could be, but isn’t bad either. I’d ask her about thin spaghetti straps in the front, attaching to the lace in the back.
Also, is the rear mesh going to go all the way to the closure in a v? I’d make sure it will, just to not break any lines in the back and also to give that nice visual of going in at the waist.
The color of this dress is just fantastic on you!

lcb2013 : hmm…I’m going to be brutally honest bee. I think the dress looks too small. It’s pulling a lot through the hips and thighs. You are gorgeous, but this dress isn’t doing you justice. And I’m not really a fan of the new back…to me, it doesn’t look like the dress was designed that way; the elements look kinda hacked together :/

I will be honest too, you are beautiful with a beautiful figure and I just do not think the dress is flattering you they way another dress would. I know it is likely not possible at this time to find a different dress and I think this one could be modified to be much more flattering. I think the mesh in front is just not working with your skin tone. It almost to me “looks” like it should be a nude mesh and not really visible, but because of your beautiful skin tone – it stands out more than it should. I think you should consider removing it and adding straps of some kind. I truly think straps would make all the difference. If not, maybe a white mesh would look much better than the nude colored mesh? I think I feel the same about the mesh on the back being white vs. nude. Maybe other bees can weigh in, but I just am not liking the mesh color against your pretty skin. I realize the mesh matches the lining of the dress, but in this case I think another option might be best. I do think that adding straps and removing the mesh up front will just be gorgeous! It is such a pretty dress and you have a beautiful figure, I just think some changes will make it so much more flattering on you!

another vote here for moving the mesh and adding straps (could be spaghetti but i think lace straps might look even better if you have some left over lace from a hem or anything like that.)
