@Cady:  I don’t think you need to suggest a color. If you go to a salon and tell her what you intended to do she can help you fix the brassiness and work out a color system that works for your tones. The best thing to do if your hair naturally goes to warm tones – is to work with them – not against. Ask her if there is a few warm browns she can show you that would work well – so you can pick.

What color was your hair when you were younger ? maybe go back to that if it was  darker and add low and high lights ( get it done at a salon that is known and trusted to do good color work) …

I feel like sometimes some women want to change hair color and dont put into consideration color theory and how that can change your look drastically sometimes not for the good because it may not work with your skin tone, under tone , eye color etc … def get a consultation.

Good Luck ! 🙂

@Cady:  oh wow ok … i would still go to a salon then b/c you dont want to go over board with adding color at home then you get more disappointed and still have to go to a salon to fix it …

@Cady: I agree with what @suburbian: said.

also, be sure you tell the stylist you used Feria. different dyes have different chemicals, and sometimes they can have reactions with each other.

Reds always fade faster. I natural natural auburn color enhanced with color and highlights and go every eight weeD’s. I can definitely tell its fading by six weeks though. I am very particular about my color and wanted something natural looking since I am an attorney. My stylist/colorist is amazing and has gotten my color perfect every time, even when I make small changes from time to time (I get bored!).

Ask people you work with or friends whose hair you like who does their hair. That’s a good way to find a reputable stylist that will give you what you are looking for. I rave about my stylist and  tell anyone who asks her info. It can get pricey though. I’m paying $130 every 8 weeks for cut, color and highlights. it’s my splurge though!
