@Sunflower–girl  The other message boards I frequent allow the OP to delete any thread they have started, for any reason.  Given that the Bee has issues with broken links if a thread is deleted here, I think it’s a good compromise to have it limited to 3.

I admit that it’s annoying when a juicy thread gets stopped, especially when it’s because someone doesn’t like the replies they’re getting.  But even if it’s something you feel they need the hear, the fact is you can’t change people over the internet.  If they’re dead-set on thinking a certain way, it’s how they are, and a group of strangers on the web isn’t going to change them.

I think there should be a min number of posts like 100 before you can have the ability to delete posts. Its one thing when someone who is apart of the community deletes a post, its another when some stranger comes in to stir the pot and leaves

I did it because after getting perspective on wedding dresses, I no longer wanted personal pictures of me located on the Bee. However, it does really suck when going to comment/next page/go back to a thread and it is gone!! In cases of personal info, yes. Others not so sure…but it is their prerogative *shrugs*

I guess the limit of 3 is supposed to prevent an uprising of potstirers who bait and delete? :]
