I do not have an association with this site, but just to give you an idea of the gowns that might work for you

I especially like;

The poster above mentioned tea length wedding dresses, here are some options. A google search gave these options:

Check out this thread. A bunch of plus size bees have shared pics of themselves in their dresses. I’m sure it’d be helpful to see different sizes in different dress shapes.

Try A-Line with some rouching. Very flattering. A little bit of poof but not cupcake-y 🙂

Here is my dress. I am street size 18, the dress is a 22. It’s Da Vinci T8109 in white.

My problem area is my belly as well and I went with a modified a-line with lots of rouching.  Totally not what I expected to get and while I didn’t mind “poufy”, it looked horrible on me.  Here are some pics of what the modified a-line looked like.

I went A line with a natural waist (dropped highlighted exactly what I wanted to hide, but empire made me look pregnant)

I didn’t want much poof, but ended up a little poofier than I expected because the poof helped hide my hips. I’m planning to take out the little bit of tulle there is under the skirt.

Also, don’t rule out all the poofy dresses. Tulle can always be removed to make it less bulky if you like the general decoration of a dress. you can get an idea of how it looks depoofed by shoving the tulle between your legs when you try it on. Not a modest practice, but it works!

Mine was a fit and flare that did NOT poof but had a lot of personality! It was a size 20.

I tried on a couple non-puffy dresses that I thought would have looked horrible on my figure, but was actually surprised how good they looked.

Oh, I’m a size 22/24 if that helps any
