mendoliac:  I think your dress is simple and gorgeous and it would be lovely with a necklace. I say keep the necklace OR even possibly try one with more bling/rhinestones! The sash will dress it up too! Beautiful!

I think the dress is gorgeous. I don’t  love the necklace, but it’s only b/c of the little balls. I don’t think a BIG necklace is necessarily wrong, but I’d keep looking.

    The sash sounds great too!

I think the necklace is lovely, it just needs to be pulled up and/or out a bit.  You can do this by shortening the back of it, or by adding a stiffening wire (stiff beading wire should work) into the necklace, depending on which you opted to go for.  Either of these would keep the look, but change where the necklace hits you.  Shortening it/pulling it up would be easier, but I think that stiffening it/rounding it out would ultimately look better.

mendoliac:  I agree with the pp who suggested shortening the necklace. The top row of pearls should sit just at the bottom of your neck.

I think its lovely! If you can get the pearls to spread out a bit it will look very glamourous!

mendoliac:  I love it, and I find it very dainty. What aren’ you loving about it? The material and style are very feminine and soft. It looks beautiful on you.

Maybe a more elaborate belt would help you feel more dainty. Something with pearls and sparkle? I think the dress is absolutely lovely, but ultimately you have to feel great in it on your big day.

mendoliac:  if you want my opinion… the dress is the bread and butter of the whole look. I just recently went dress shopping with my sister and the attendent told her to wear NOTHING for accessories. So she tried on a few dresses that she liked and then she tried on one that she absolutely loved. From there we started adding a few accessories until she was happy with the look of it and thats when the tears started flowing from all of us.

My advice would be, maybe take the necklace out of the equation, start with the dress, add a veil to work around that, then maybe start accesorizing. It will form a whole story and I think you will be very happy with it. The necklace could easily be worn for a holiday dinner or with a nice dress for work or someone elses wedding, but your dress should be your statement.

I actually love the necklace! If you got a sash that maybe had rhinestones and pearls in it it could add a bit more bling if you wanted. The dress looks so soft and pretty on you!

i think the necklace is a little too big. can you wear it a little higher on your necK?  that might help.
