That is a really cool graph. The nerd in me wants to make a chart on Excel now to see about how much mine are spending and then turn it into a pie chart.

Oh my god, this is genius.  Thankfully more than half of these expenses don’t apply to my girls!

I have been in a few weddings and I haven’t had to pay for a lot of those expenses. Travel to and from parties/weddings being two. Lingere, Jewlery, wedding, engagement gift (we normally do one gift for the shower)

Yeah that’s kinda nuts.  I’m glad my ladies didn’t have to even come close to that kind of money to be in my wedding!

I went ahead and did it :). I put in some estimated costs for what they would spend on drinks at the bach party and for a gift at the bridal shower. I told them all they didn’t have to get me anything for the wedding, but I know at least one girl did. Gas money will differ based on each girl, too. One is coming from 3 hours away, another is 10 minutes. </nerdiness>

I find it funny how lingerie is on there. Would a bride really tell the girls to wear lingerie? Isn’t the bride the only one who should be wearing lingerie because she is getting nasty that night?

I was a bridesmaid and spend $200

Mine are only really paying for the dress. Some of them are wearing their own shoes that they already have. No bach party and no shower, and two of them have to travel so they have plane fares but their parents paid for them.

@MissHighHeel: I actually had to buy some for a wedding once. I didn’t have a strapless bra that would work with the dress so I had to buy the DB one that costs about $50. 😛

@jo.lee:Yah I guess that would make sense! I only ever wear strapless bras anyways, and I have small boobs so I COULD go bra-less!

@MissHighHeel: I think they’re referring to bra and undies to go with the dress.  Not everyone always has something that will work on-hand.

I love the chart! My Maid/Matron of Honor and I are having a great time comparing. 🙂  Good to know we haven’t even come to 50% of that cost..
