We are getting married August 20th of this year and I have no clue what I SHOULD have done.
So far we have:
Officiant, venue, dress (and everything to go with it), reply cards, music, flutes, place cards, unity candle holders, guest book, rings, and a rough guest list.
But I have no clue what I SHOULD have done. Anything I need to hurry up with or anything it is too late to get?

ETA: I would also look into photographer and baker for a cake.
I suggest really working on that guest list. That was the first thing I started working on, and having it all typd up in excel with addresses was a huge help when it came to everything else (numbers-wise).

We know where we are going to get our cake but we haven’t done the tasting or ordered it yet. And the guest list is all the people we want to invite it’s just a matter of do we want to cut it down to a smaller amount

I know! Time flies. It’s hard to think of everything :S SO Stressful trying to… but what I did was download the WeddingWire app to my phone so I can look at it every single day to ingrain it into my thick skull that okay, this needs done by this day, etc.
It’s helped a lot! I talked to a wedding coordinator the other day and she said I was one of her favorite brides because I was so organized (and yet she wanted me to pay her $500 just so she could ‘make sure’ I was organized enough. I don’t think I’ll do that with a $2k max budget!)

Ummmm …. Hair and Make up? Set a formal budget? Look into flowers? invitations (I saw you said reply cards but not sure if you have done invites)? If it’s not at home, hotel rooms?

Hi, I’m the day after you! Stuff that we’ve arranged that I don’t see on your list:
- videographer if you want that
- bridesmaid dresses – timing depends on the dress shop/designer
Also, the next upcoming stuff on my to-do list includes invitations, reserve a hotel block for out of town guests, and book honeymoon. After that I’ll be working on hair/makeup and figuring out transportation.

We have transportation figured out, I just finished with flowers yesterday, my sister and I are handwriting the invitations on Friday, I can’t decide what to do about my hair, my mom is doing my make up, we aren’t doing hotels for out of town guests because we are on such a tight budget and everyone knows that so if they are coming they will just get their own, my sister and cousin are getting their own dresses (MOH and Bridesmaid) they are just going to go with my colors and get something pretty, we are probably just going to hand out disposable cameras for people to leave with us after taking pictures instead of a photographer, and I have my own camcorder for someone to be assigned to, and we can’t afford a honeymoon right now unfortuantely 🙁

We are day twins!!! Woohoo!
You seem like you have everything you need under control so far, we have about the same except still no cake or flowers!

just had to say that Fiance and I visited your charming Bellefontaine this summer, walked on the oldest street and visited the shortest street too. (We had a 6-month road trip and visited as many weird things as we could, haha!)

I don’t think theres a SHOULD or SHOULD NOT have done, it’s just whatever you can do in your budget.
That being said, i’m going to fly back to the mainland in June and spend the entire month doing EVERYTHING then fly back to the island and wil not return until a few days before I get hitched!
Don’t sweat the worry and just do what you can, one day at a time. 🙂
