Title says it all. Still not pregnant and we are still trying to just keep a positive attitude about it, even though everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant on their first try with little to no effort whatsoever (I know, even if it’s only 2 examples…it feel like a million).
So…hubby and I booked a last-minute trip to Cuba! We love Cuba and we can’t wait to go back. We leave the first week of October and are just looking forward to some relaxation and fun, beautiful beaches, rum drinks and music.
Anyone else doing some fun activities to distract from the fact that you’re not pregnant? Since we can’t fly off to Cuba every week, I need some other good ideas…lol.

BeeBlake: I can relate, have an enjoyable relaxing time with lots of drinks and music. Don’t give TTC any thought.

So funny, I just forwarded my hubby a groupon deal for a Costa Rica getaway, with a message saying, since I’m not pregnant yet, I want to travel… lol! Good for you, I would love to go to Cuba one day….

We started TTC in 2012, and when March 2013 came around and I started to need to burn vacation time, we booked a trip to Ireland. Then later that year, still no baby, so we went to Iceland in Sept. This year, we went to Taiwan in Feb. We were going to go to Greece this month, but stuck around for IVF instead, and with that failed, I was actually just looking today where we could go next month. Travel has been my consolation prize this whole time.

pinkshoes: I’m so sorry that the IVF was unsuccessful. Good for you for doing something that you enjoy. I smiled when I read that travel was your “consolation prize” – my husband says all the time, “hey, if we can’t get pregnant…just think of the places we will travel in this world!”
When we travel, we travel for the food and drink (ok, Cuba doesn’t count, but you know what I mean). I guess another benefit of not being pregnant is that you get to try a lot more food and drinks while you’re exploring the world.

We’re the same way – Travelling is the silver lining to AF showing up.
We booked a cruise a while ago on the understanding that if we needed to cancel, we’d do it without a doubt. When AF arrived yesterday, I realized that we were now in the clear and I would be allowed on this cruise, so we’re finally starting to look for flights. It definitely made getting AF easier this time around.
Have a great time in Cuba!

BeeBlake: Amen Sister! I am in the same boat of TTC. It will be one year next month which is also my 1st wedding anniversary. We are planning a a last minute booking to Jamaica. I am watching the prices and it needs to drop at least $50 ea before I pounce. We did the same thing in June when I was feeling down and booked our trip on Thursday and went on Sunday!

Good for you! We just got back from a Jamaica trip on our 1 yr anniversary of ttc. It was very much needed and very much worth it. Enjoy the fun, sun, and time with your DH!

Have fun! We did something similar. We were going to delay TTC until March so we booked a trip to Cabo for January, but we’re TTC now so if it doesn’t happen before then it will definitely be something to get my mind off of it!
