Trust your gut and get out.  You will always wonder and if he doesn’t have some weird dark secret to be worried about, your insecurity about that elusive something will undermine your relationship.

Yeah.  Usually if something doesn’t feel right, it’s not.  A friend of mine had a perfect boyfriend who ended up being a pedophile.

Yes, I was once in a relationship very much like that, many moons ago. The sex was perfect, the conversations flowed easily and we seemed to love being in each other’s company. He was also quite attractive. But something seemed not quite right and I had this really vague feeling of uneasiness, almost from the beginning. After that, I saw more and more actual “little things” that disturbed me.  Still I hung in there because everything else was so NICE. Without going into a lot of details, he turned out to be a really nasty self-centered dick and after it was all over, I realized that I really dodged a bullet with that one.

Bottom line – trust your intuition.

Yes. My ex was good “on paper” for a while but I knew something wasn’t right… I still stayed with him, got married and then ended up divorced. If something isn’t feeling right, trust your gut.
