@Jacquelinesc84:  I wouldn’t worry about it.  The colour is quite pretty, almost ‘antique’ and is different enough that it will look like a deliberate difference instead of just being an ‘off’ match

I think it is a beautiful colour and will look stunning next to both yellow and grey! I agree it looks almost antiquey… Love it!

Could you have your Fiance wear an ivory shirt? Don’t tell him just pick one up and when your are alone layout the tux and different shirts alongside your dress. Once you are firm on what you like bribg it up to him if it’s ivory him too. Your BMs will be fine.

Did you get swatches of the color before making the dress? I’ve found that there are SO many shades of ivory, off white and white – sometimes what we think is too-yellow is actually a form of darker ivory.

This happened to me with our tablecloths.. I had purchased ivory thinking it was more of a muted down white.. they looked YELLOW up against my dress. I couldn’t stand it. Everyone on the bee told me it would be okay, but that’s all I thought about was ugly yellow tableclothes, so I changed them.

@Jacquelinesc84:  the dress is beautiful  and has a vintage look to the shape with the sleeves. I agree that your colour is vintage/antique-y. If you can’t change your groom’s shirt, maybe you could have his boutonier colour match your dress? Post pics of the day eventually 🙂

@Jacquelinesc84:  If it looks good with your skintone, I wouldn’t worry about that. Even if it appears ”soft yellow” by contrast, people will think you deliberately chose this to go with your color scheme. As a PP suggested, if your groom agrees to wear a ivory shirt, it could resolve any issue you have with the dress color.
