We mixed it up and got some of the guys zippo lighter, some flasks and some knives depending on what they would like more and they were all engraved with their names. We paid about $20-$30 for each

Sorry it took me a while to get back! There is a man in our mall that sells all of those things and engraves them too πŸ™‚ I see a kiosk similar to his in almost every mall, but they have all of that stuff on the knot too! For my little brother (ring bearer) we got him dog tags. Would that be something your gm with autism would like? For the religious guys in our group we got them the knives. It’s a cool gadety knife. My fi said it’s “manly” and they’ll like it.

I am making my groomsmen personalized Steins (the renassainse? ceramic drinking cups) on Zazzle.com.  They are only about $20 bucks a piece.  Plus if you have your own zazzle account (like I do), you can make commission off your own purchase! πŸ™‚

For the other guys, maybe monogrammed cufflinks?  Bracelets if they’ll wear them (some guys do).  Other wise I’m out of ideas.

We put money down on their tuxes ($50) and bought them their ties (another $50). You could always help with the tuxes! They appreciated it. They’ve all been in plenty of their friends’ weddings and already had tie clips, cuff links, flasks, mugs, etc.

Sorry i don’t have a better idea! We just went with crazy practical–money! =]

For your autistic groomsman, does he have a passion? My autistic cousin lives certain things like mad.

Oh poop yeah i can see how ideas are hard. Is there anything fun in the area that you think they’d like a GC to? A restaurant maybe?

@daisie, we bought the ties the groomsmen will be wearing ($15 at men’s wearhouse) and I embroidered their names onto the back (they are wearing their own black suits). Since we are not hosting the after party we will be paying for the drinks of the groomsmen/bridesmaids.
