@seAprilbride:  Ok~now I see the photo. I think the dress looks like it is sitting a bit low on you, maybe because it’s not closed in the back. FWIW I think the details on the dress are beautiful! If you go through with the alterations I think you will be happier. Undergarments and spanx can make a big difference in the fit of a dress, so that might be another option.

I know other ladies have had dress regret at DB and they exchanged their dress for something else. That might be an option for you to check on?

I think that dress is absolutely beautiful, but if you don’t love it, it may not be worth the work…Although, you may get the ‘wow’ feeling once the dress has been altered to fit your body!

Was the sample you tried on the size you would normally get and how did you feel in that? I think it is a beautiful dress and I’m sure once the alterations are done it will fit perfectly. However, it is about how you feel in the dress. Do you want to pay all that money to have it altered and still not love it?

Agree with a lot of the posters above. The dress is beautiful, but if you don’t whole heartedly love it NOW, I wouldn’t put anymore money into it. I was in a similar situation. I bought a dress I thought I loved, but when I got it, it was a bit snug. I could have probably made it work but I ended up getting something else that I absolutely adored. In the end, it was absolutely worth all the money to get another dress.

It IS a beautiful dress and I think once it was properly altered, it would look amazing on you. But if you really don’t like it, get a new dress.

@seAprilbride:  I think your dress COULD be beautiful on you. You certainly have the figure to pull it off, however just like everyone else said, if you don’t love it then don’t pay the money to alter it.
