The dress looks great on you, however I don’t know about the sash since there seems to be some type of detail on the dress and the way it curves I’m not sure a sash would work.  The dress is beautiful, have no regrets πŸ™‚

The dress looks beautiful and I would never say that it makes your hips look wide. Skip the sash though, there is already enough detail on the bodice and it will be too busy

Love the dress! No sash neccesary, IMO, because the ruching and waist detail are already great enough! I think a sash would not complement the dress detail very well.  You look great. πŸ™‚

Oh is this Anjolique C111? (I think the European designer goes by a different name, but they are the same dresses). I absolutely love this dress!

I think it looks great on you, don’t worry about that at all. Also, don’t add a sash, I don’t think this dress needs one. You do not look pear-shaped in that dress, and I think your figure looks very pretty, the dress certainly flatters your body.

I’m confused because you don’t look like you have big hips at all. You’re figure is amazing and the dress is gorgeous!

Honestly, I think your dress is beautiful!

ETA: I can totally relate though. After having mine a few months, I have started to see new styles and really wish I would have tried on more.

I wouldn’t do a sash either, the dress is beautful as is!

Who would have told you to stay away from mermaid dress????!!!  You look fantastic in it.  I have a 39 inch hip and I love my fit and flare.  I think a little hip actually makes these type of dresses look better.  I am padding the top though to even it out πŸ˜‰

I think it looks very pretty and no, your hips don’t look “too big”. Smile

I also have big hips (for my frame, not necessarily on paper) and wore a fit and flare gown.

I don’t notice your hips at all…..all I see is a gorgeous figure so no need for you to worry! Also I agree with pp’s and def skip the sash….there is too much gorgeous detail right there at the waist and it wouldn’t do the dress any justice to cover it up!

@kerrylou07:  Dont have dress regret, you look beautiful!  I was also concerned about this issue too because I have no boobs and big hips but I went with a mermaid style dress.  They are amazing.. πŸ™‚
