I think it’s gorgeous BUT comfort is key! And I love that I hardly notice wearing my ring at all. I had originally though I wanted a pave band but it felt too scratch. So I just have side stones at the top and the part that touches the other fingers is smooth. If you need to change the setting now would be the time. I suggest trying on a lot of styles and seeing how they feel.

If it;s not comfortable, then I would change it. Have you considered a simple solitaire setting (suer comfortable) and then getting a blingy band instead?

alysajade:  I personally think your ring is stunning, but you are the one wearing it for life 🙂  I would recommend, if at all possible, just waiting it out for a few weeks.  Give yourself some time to get used to wearing the ring and how it looks.  I found my knife edge band uncomfortable for the first few weeks, and now I don’t even feel it at all.

alysajade:  Hi there. I personally think your setting and stone are really nice!  I have a cushion cut and I had my ring reset. Cushions are a mixed bag. A round or a princess tend to look consistent, each one you see. No two cushions are the same. I had really chunky prongs and I think my setting was a little “off” and I absolutely hated the way it looked. I had it set in more delicate prongs and I loved it.

Your prongs look like they could be set better, something seems a little asymetrical about them.

My situation was a little different than yours though, given that my Fiance asked my preference which was radiant and switched to cushion last minute, so it took some getting used to.

Your Fiance may be a little saddened because you picked the ring and then didn’t like it. But I think asking for different prongs would be reasonable, especially if he thinks they look a little off too. It’s more of a technical change than anything else.

I am a firm believer that prongs can change the look of the center stone no matter what shape.

it HAS to be comfortable…comfort fit band or it would make me crazy too. I would explain that to your fiancé and exchange that setting for a simple solitaire one. Then you can pick out a pretty blingy wedding band !!!

It really is pretty! But if not comfortable, why not a thin one row pave band instead of knife’s edge?

Unless you do get used to it because really it is very pretty !

I’m biased because I have  double claw prongs on my cushion- and that was one of the things I most wanted in my design, so I think switching the prongs will definitely seal the deal for you.

alysajade:  Can someone photoshop the double prongs onto the photo to see what it would look like?

See I like a square diamond so I am biased but your ring is stunning bee! Truly is! I wouldn’t change a thing about it.
