@marinesfiance:  The mermaid dress looks more luxe and higher quality to me… at least in the stock photos. I can see why more people voted for it.

@marinesfiance:  They must have other mermaids. Take the things you like from the fit and flare and see if they have a mermaid like it.

Don’t get a dress you don’t like just because other people like it better. Get what makes you feel beautiful. After all, you’re probably going to be looking at those wedding photos much more than anyone else for the rest of your life. ๐Ÿ™‚

@marinesfiance:  If YOU hate it, KEEP LOOKING! There are so many styles out there that I’m certain you’ll find one that you simply love.

Keep looking, keep looking, keep looking!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you really getting married in 2015? If so, take some pressure off of yourself and slow down a bit. Enjoy the dress shopping and try to just go with your gut. You have plenty of time to find a beautiful dress. You can do it.

I start dress shopping in late November. Eeek! I’m excited too!

Do you have a fabric preference?  Do you like the fit and flare because it is organza?  I found this on DB that’s the same price as the mermaid you posted above, but it’s organza.  The train is detachable, and it might be more comfortable for you:

TBO, I prefer you in the mermaid, but YOU have to decide what YOU like the best. ๐Ÿ™‚

@marinesfiance:  Maybe you just haven’t found the one yet. I think you need to check out more bridal shops. I know a lot of people get stuck on DB to keep costs down but I found gowns in the same price range by other designers. Call around and your options will go from few to many. I tried this Mori Lee on. It was beautiful and only $600.

 but I hate it ๐Ÿ™

@marinesfiance:  then it isn’t the dress for you. If you are getting married in 2015 as your profile says then you have plenty of time to pick a dress. Why not go look at completely different mermaids & fit/flares at all different shops? You don’t want to get a dress you hate, but you also don’t want to end up with dress regret either with it being so far out from your wedding.
