Hi bees! I need your help! This is my engagement ring. It is pretty big, especially considering my tiny hands. It’s not really the ring I wanted, but it’s pretty and my Fiance put quite a bit of thought and money into it, so I wouldn’t want to get a new one. My problem is, what kind of wedding band should I get? I want something small that won’t make my rings look way bigger. And, I don’t want to spend much money at all. I’m not worried about the specs or anything. In fact, my Fiance will probably get his off of Amazon since he won’t wear it much due to work. If I get a regular band, I’m going to have a pretty big gap. Bit if I get a custom one, it’s going to be pretty expensive. So what are your thought/opinions/advice?? (Sorry for the ugly, unpainted nails lol)

Oh wow, that ring is so unique! I love it. I think personally because it is so big already, I would not wear a band. If you want one for the ceremony you should get your favorite and wear it as a RHR. That way it doesn’t need to match.
I think custom is your best bet here if you really want a band. But you could possibly get a pave if you don’t mind some gap. Just make sure it is the same width as the diamonds in the ering.
Or, potentially get two incredibly thin bands, one for each side. Maybe with no diamonds in them.

A custom band that’s just plain metal and swoops under your ring shouldn’t be terribly expensive, depending on your budget. I’d pop in to a few local jewelers and see if you can get some quotes before writing that off entirely!

Have you thought about wearing your ering on your right hand to allow for a great stand alone wedding band? Otherwise I would go with a thin pave band as suggested previously.

Go to berricle.com and order some shape variations to see what you like with it. Look for the chevrons and the curves. Or just get a regular band and rock the gap. Either way you get to see what the ring will look like and then return what you don’t like.
It’s a beautiful ring, very unique.

I recommend you skip a band and wear it as a standalone, or get whatever band you like and move the engagement ring over to your right hand (not an uncommon practice!).
I don’t mind gaps, but a straight band with that ring would mean a rather substantial gap and push the ring up to your knuckle, and adding a custom band I think would either look like an afterthought or just make the ring look unbalanced.

I agree with the other ladies, I would just wear that ring alone. The gap would be huge with a straight band. A custom band may or may not be that expensive depending on where you go.
If you really want a wedding band with it, I suggest getting a thin, plain white gold curved custom band. That way, its cheaper because there are no diamonds in it. And it wont make the ring set look too much.

I know this was posted 3 months ago but if you are still looking maybe something like the band in this picture would be good? But I agree that this ring would be OK without a wedding band.

I have a friend who has a large ring like that and she doesn’t wear a wedding band, just her ring.
