There are 6 of us ladies who need our hair and makeup done on the day of my wedding. Me, my mother, my mother-in-law, and 3 bridesmaids.
My problem is that I don’t want to get ready at the same hotel all my guests are staying at because we’ll be ready by 2pm and taking pictures and I don’t want guests to see me before the ceremony. The mothers and bridesmaids are staying at this hotel and I got really good discounted rates of $117/night.
The hotel that I’m thinking about getting ready at is a 5-star hotel where pictures would be amazing and the rooms are about $400/night so I can’t ask the mothers and bridesmaids to get their own rooms there. But… I don’t think the Junior Suite with adjoining bed and sitting area and 1 bathroom is enough room for 6 women, a hairstylist and a makeup artist.
So… do you think the hairstylist and makeup artist would start the ladies out in the other hotel and then come over to mine… and then the rest can join me when I’m almost done? Or, I could have just my mother and sister in the room with me and have the others join me when they’re done and when we’re almost done. Am I overthinking this? I’m just wondering how much space I’m going to want while getting ready.
If it helps, the hotels are 0.12 miles apart on MapQuest. 🙂 Thank you!

Honestly I think u might regret not having everyone get ready together.
If you are having one makeup artist and one hair stylist I dont think it would be too much for a junior suite… u would only need 2 chairs for that. You could take turns using the bathroom too.
Or, if its a 5 star hotel they should have a spa/salon that might let you use one of their rooms or something!
I think it would be inconvenient to have them get ready and one hotel and then all come to you much nicer hotel for you to get ready… it might be a little offensive to them to. Could u maybe get 2 adjoining rooms and the nice hotel to make more room?

Get the suite for yourself yourself your mom and sis. Have the other girls shower at their own hotel, and come with their dresses on hangers. That way one bathroom will be enough for all of them. Worse case scenario they can run down to the lobby to use the restroom if necessary. Hair and Make-up can be done in the living room part of the suite, and girls can change as they are done with both.

I second Chela’s suggestion. You’ll definitely want to get ready with all the girls– if you don’t, they might resent it (why do you get to get ready at a fancy hotel and we’re stuck in the less nice one?) and you might regret it.
