Yeah, I went off my pills a few months before my wedding and I was 12w at my wedding.  I didn’t have a problem fitting into my dress and it was fitted through the hips.  I was a little bigger (well I just looked chubbier) at 16w though, so maybe depends on your dress style?  A higher waisted dress would have been no problem.  I probably would have still fit into my dress though, just would have looked like I ate too much …lol.

Oh, I went and looked at your dress.  You shouldn’t have a problem fitting into that- I doubt you would even notice you were pregnant that would hide it so well.  You don’t start getting really big until after 6-7mo pregnant IMO

I see the pink too…yikes.

On the bright side, I went back through your posts and saw your dress (gorgeous, btw) and I think it’ll work well and your pregnancy probably won’t show very much with the proper alterations 🙂

Congrats! While I am sure it is overwhelming, take a deep breath. It will be okay.

First, right now there is a 30% chance of miscarriage. It is so early– be excited, but be cautiously excited. If you haven’t gotten your period in the next week, call your doctor and set up an appointment for 3 weeks from now.

Second, try not to worry. My aunt worked in a Catholic church’s office. She was always surprised how many people were told wrong wedding year for their grandparents and how shocked they were when they realized their grandmother was pregnant. Similarly, many couples had baptisms 6-9 months after their wedding. This has been a problem that so many other people have had. It will be fine. I promise.

Finally, don’t worry about your dress. You’ll fit into it fine. You may have a slight belly, but you rarely look pregnant in wedding dresses.

I just looked at your dress and at 4 months you should be fine, I’m currently 8 months and nobody but DH and I could tell that I was pregnant till around 6 months.

This is me at 16 weeks, so 4 months. I was also around a size 4 pre-pregnancy. Sorry if the picture is huge.

vericari:  I think you should take another couple test and make sure before you tell him.

Yeah I’m seeing the pink too! If you have to you can have your dress altered to help conceal your bump. I’m sure you’ll be beautiful regardless. Good luck!

vericari:   At 16 weeks (4 months) pregnant I was barely showing, and Im normally a size 4.  I didn’t start to really show until 20 weeks.  And with the style dress you have you will be able to hide it.  I wouldn’t worry about that!!  I will say the only thing that grew right away for me was the boobs, I went from a C to DD like over night!  Just try to enjoy this, it happened sooner than planned, but you will be just fine!  congrats, and good luck telling Fiance, I’m sure he will be thrilled with the news 🙂

It IS possible to get pink evaps with FRERs.  I know a few ladies in my pregnancy group who have had them and others have posted pictures here of them as well.  So it is still possible it’s an evap, though it could also be a faint positive.  I’d test again in a few days and see if the line is more defined.

For first time pregnancies you don’t normally show super early. I was the third baby and my mom didn’t show for 6 months and was also a size 4! Congratulations are in order because that test looks positive to me!

vericari: . I recommend not trying to be cute and just be honest– “I was worried so I took a test and I think I see a line. It is faint and it is early, but I am freaking out a little bit”

As for testing again, if you don’t drink anything for 4-6 hours and hold your pee for a few hours, you should be able to get a good sample to test again.
