Wow, that’s really interesting.  It’s sounds like the tarot reader told you something bad about the future of the relationship?  You could tell SO about it if it feels right to you…maybe say something like, “Man, I saw this tarot reader 2 years ago and they told me xy and z but that’s just crazy, huh???”

People in that medium facinate and scare me all at the same time.  Also, I never thought I would say this, but:  I really hope your SO does NOT propose tomorrow! πŸ™‚

@lucyv2003:  Uuf!  That is a terrible prediction!  Well, here’s to hoping that NEVER comes true…and that your visit to the tarot reader was a fun experience and nothing more than that. (I would totally be freaking out if I were in your shoes, too.  Lol.  I’m paranoid like that)  πŸ™‚

I had a tarot card reading in downtown NOLA too…

he told me my cat was going to die within a few months (this was 2.5 years ago, kitty turns 18 this June)

he told me I would be engaged within a year (I wasn’t)

he told me grad school was going to be one of the greatest challenges of my life (it really hasn’t been that bad at all)

so…yeah…   if he did propose, just be excited.  πŸ™‚

Interesting.  I actually read tarot for myself and others so I don’t think it’s weird at all.  Also, I have had several readings done for me by a clairvoyant, and not one of them has ever been specific about something like “you will get engaged by . . . ” or “your cat will die,” or “there will be a great tragedy involving a child,” that sounds completely bogus.  Tarot is a tool for discovering the current energy of the querent’s situation, and that’s all it is.  It’s not meant to be a “future predictor” necessarily.  OP: Since it is now the 20th, did something happened on the 17th?  Please let us know  . . .

P.S.  I was never a believer in tarot before, either, until I learned how to do it myself.  It’s eerily accurate.

I did a 10 dollar pyschic reading once that said I would be moving in the next few months (I did), that I would be moving to Los Angeles (I did), and that I would meet a man soon whose named started with a J (I did not – dated a K and now with a T), and that I would have three children (not yet!).

I think I could only do a reading that was for fun and that seemed fake, I’d be too scared that I would be told something bad.

I did a psychic reading once and she told me that I would cheat on my Nascar boyfriend with a Movie Producer and I would end up marrying the guy and be miserable because the Nascar boyfriend was my true love.  And for an additional $50 she could give me a magic rubbing stone to make sure I dont’ end up that way.  I told her I’d pass on the stone and just keep a mental note not to cheat. πŸ™‚  Don’t worry sweetie, if he proposes and you really don’t want to say yes on that day, just tell him Why don’t you ask me tomorrow?
