I found a jeweler two days ago who did same day rhodium dip/polish- so I went ahead and did it because I hate leaving my ring anywhere- and every place wants it for 10 days. But now I’m hesitant to wear it- I did it in prep for our wedding (Nov 16)–
I called and asked if they’d be able to do it same day again before wedding- and they said technically they didn’t know- depends on how busy they were, but that also, they seriously advise against rhodium dipping/polishing more than once a year!! Everytime you get your ring polished and dipped, it wears off a tiny layer of gold. So she said even if they can do it same day- it’s not something she reccomends 🙁

I’m sure it will be plenty shiny enough for your wedding. 🙂 I would get it steamed the day before if you are worried about it!

@Fanciful: I would tend to agree- but I have a bezel setting, and there’s a decent size metal rim around the diamond—- that’s the part I’m worried about. The reason I got a bezel is because I am very active with my hands- and you can tell by looking at my ring (when it’s not polished!!)- I can only imagine what a prong setting would be like for me- I’m sure I would have lost my diamond by now!!

Just get it cleaned the day before. It will be fine. 🙂

It would be fine! if you want it shiny i’d get a gold polishing cloth and it should sparkle like new 🙂

@MrsEME: I’m probably in the minority but I wouldn’t wear it 🙂 It will be THAT much more special and shiney new the day of your wedding. It’s only a couple weeks! And it will wear at the exact same rate as your wedding band if you wait … I did our rings about 5 days before and just put them in a box until the wedding 🙂
I didnt know that about only dipping once a year though!!!
