    Definitely not, white all the way!

    I would consider it, but probably will go with white

    I’m 23 but I am not wearing white, when I went shopping I HATED the look of any and all white dresses (both on the rack and especially on myself), some people look beautiful in white but it was simply NOT my thing (I’m SUPER light skinned and my skin color matched the white dresses, I wasn’t a fan at all). I’m wearing a champagne/gold dress (it has some ivory tulle on the bottom and my veil will be ivory, but my headpiece is champagne).  I also didn’t “feel” right in white, it seemed a little too “bridal” for my taste (strange right??).  I love my dress but I probably would have chosen a black or red dress if my mother and sister weren’t so opposed to the idea, so the champagne/gold is a compromise. my bridesmaids will be in black though ๐Ÿ™‚

    i will wear ivory – can’t do pure white because a) it looks terrible on me b) i’m not fooling anyone, as OP put it ‘i’ve gotten down and dirty with life’ ๐Ÿ™‚

    @JSB2B:  lovely dress. Where’s it from? It looks like the Dessy dress I really like. Are you having bridesmaids? What colour are they wearing? Your dress is a beautiful colour.

    I ended up getting a white dress, but there’s a lot of colored embroidery.  I was considering getting the embroidery in blue, but ended up getting black so my sister could get a new dress to match, rather than wear a blue dress she already owned.

    FI’s cousin’s wife wore sort of a dusty rose colour when she got married and she looked stunning.  I say wear what you want, it’s your wedding!

    @Soon2BD-CBee:

    Thank you! I found it at JC Penney. It was on sale and I had a coupon so it ended up being $23. We actually just got married in Vegas on the 13th just the two of us. It was awesome and way easier and less stressful than a traditional wedding like we each had the first time around.

    I’m wearing  a Tadashi Shoji lace and silk chiffon gown in a colour called desert bloom – it’s a really pretty ivory dress.

    This is my dress.  It’s not anywhere near as drastic as you’re wanting but it’s a big deal in my family not to have a white dress.  I’m getting the color shown above which is a champange over light gold and I couldn’t be happier with it.  My Fiance and I love antique shopping and everything old, and this dress has that feel while also being very modern.  Can’t wait until it comes in!

    I’m considering black or purple as a wedding dress. ๐Ÿ™‚
