Hey guys! Everyone has been so helpful on here with tips for the wedding, that I figured you may also be able to help me with this one. I’m looking for a great hair colorist in Austin that is affordable. Since I moved here, I’ve gotten my hair done twice. The first time the color was great, but the price was rediculous. The second time, was more affordable, but my color faded in three weeks.
I’d prefer a stylist in the South Austin area, as that’s close to me, but I’d be willing to travel a little bit. I’m looking for someone who is great with highlights. I’ll be honest, I am not a natural blonde lol. Any recommendations?

I’ve been to like 30 stylist salons in austin with most being overpriced for the quality or just super expensive for good results Its freakin hard! I know its odd but the best one ive been to in Austin was at Ulta off Brodie Lane! Its a hit or miss anywhere UNLESS you find a good one after a few trial and errors! Theres a woman there names Dale and shes super sweet (and talkative) but when they can give me a gorgeous red with lowlights and a fabulous cut, tjen i know ive found a keeper! Ive never got blonde done but my hair color is difficult to achieve and she really has an eye for matching color to you eyes and skin tone! Shes been in the business awhile. Hope i was helpful and I can tell you i totally understand!

I’ve been going to the same stylist, Michi Lafary, for about 8 years now (my sister’s been with her for 10), and I love her highlights! I’m not exactly sure what she charges new customers, but I think she’s worth every penny! She’s not in South Austin, unfortunately, though. She’s up at the Domain working at Luxe Apothetique. She did my color (I got blonde, red, and brown highlights) and style right for our engagement photos, so I’ve posted a few below (trying to focus on the hair). See what you think! 🙂 She’s definitely doing my hair for the wedding!

I see Leigh at Salon Aura Veni near downtown. She is fantastic! Best coloring I’ve ever had!

Thanks for the input guys! I ended up going to Frenchy’s Beauty Salon and had my hair done by Sandy and she was Ah-mazing! It was probably the best color that I’ve ever had. Totally worth it
