I need help!!!! I am 2 weeks away from my wedding and cannot pick a song that sits well with me for my father daughter dance. My father and I did not have the best of relationships growing up and a lot of the typical father daughter dance songs do not fit because of that. I would like it to be a Spanish slow song or bolero since my dad speaks Spanish and is not much of a dancer. I was thinking about a song that talks about new beginnings. If you have English song suggestions I am open to them as well.
Thanks in Advance,

Does there have to be lyrics? How about a nice instrumental?

Es Mi Niña Bonita by Vicente Fernandez is a good song.
I am choosing this one because my dad always wanted a boy and never got one and I am his last daughter.

I don’t know if there is a bolero about new beginnings, since boleros are mainly about hearbreak; what we in Spanish call “slit your wrists” songs. But, there is a great song by Joan Manuel Serrat: Hoy puede ser un gran día (Today can be a great day) which I think would be a good choice. Though it’s not a bolero, it’s easy to dance to.
Here’s a YouTube link with the lyrics (if you’d like a translation, let me know):
