I’d go with 1 of each: White Chocolate Raspberry, 1 chocolate chocolate chip, 1 Red Velvet and 1 Pecan Praline 🙂

That being said, I totally understand you..l We are also doing Nothing Bundt Cakes: one two-tiered red velvet cake and 3 dozens of bundtinis (chocolate chip, white chocolate raspberry, pecan praline).

i love those cakes!

Ooh, man, I LOVE Nothing Bundt Cake. I’d do one of each, I think. Although, if your budget allows it, a couple dozen of the bundtinis might not be a bad addition.

I love nothing bundt cakes! My favorite flavor is the lemon cake. It’s so refreshing! I always buy myself a lemon bundtlet while ordering them for parties!

I have used them for birthday parties, graduation parties, office retirement parties, and baby showers.

As someone who has hosted many parties, I would personally recommend two each white chocolate raspberry and chocolate chocolate chip because those are the biggest crowd pleasers. Everyone likes a basic white cake or chocolate cake, but other flavors are more polarizing.

I did the red velvet for a retirement party once and it was surprisingly a huge flop. Caveat: many of the guests at this party were Southern ladies who were used to a different kind of red velvet cake. I got my heart blessed so many times for the red velvet bundt that I was mortified!

is_a_belle :  Whaaaaa…?!?!?! Blasphemy! Red velvet’s my absolute fave!

ElephantAndTheFlea :  If you’re going to replace red velvet, I wouldn’t do another white chocolate raspberry. I don’t really like that one (although it’s dh’s fave) or the praline one, so I’d be pretty bummed if the chocolate chip ran out and those were the only ones left.

You don’t have a vanilla option in there, so what about marble? Or confetti!

This post just reminded me I have a pecan praline bundtini in the fridge, so thank you.

I say a variety of flavors! (Also, confetti is the best flavor)

I love nothing bundt cakes!! I would get a variety of flavors! The only thing that worries me is maybe that would make guests want to try more than one flavor and if you are cutting larger slices, the potential to run out. I would make sure the slices aren’t being cut too large.

My PERSONAL choices based on my favorites would be White Chocolate Raspberry, Red Vevet, Lemon, and Marble. The new Funfetti is really good too though!

I agree that maybe you could get some additional bunditinis in other flavors, if budget allows.

TheGridMonster :  I was shocked too because it’s so yummy and tied with chocolate as my second favorite after the lemon (and I know full well nobody likes lemon cake besides me). I am a West Coast girl, though!

I think marble is a good idea for a third! It’s a safe bet and my go-to for parties with a lot of kids.

I personally don’t like the praline either and neither does my husband so I have no experience buying it for a party.

ElephantAndTheFlea :  since you’re having 4 cakes, do all 4 of the flavors you mentioned. Personally, my favorites are lemon and red velvet from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

I agree with PPs that you might want to consider providing the Classic Vanilla option. So CCC for the chocolate lovers, WCR for those that want a fruity flair, and CV for the traditional/picky eaters lol. The fourth could be either the pecan praline or red velvet. I’m not a fan of their RV, probably my least favorite of all the flavors (to me it’s like a poor man’s CCC lol), but if you really love the burgundy aspect — it’s your wedding, go for it! I really like the pecan praline. 🙂

Also… you are allowed to get different flavors for the top and bottom tiers, in case you didn’t know. 😉 So you could potentially have up to 8 flavors lol (not what I’d recommend though!).

Oh also, I’d recommend asking for the drizzle icing option. I think it looks much more elegant than the regular blobs, but of course that’s subjective.

I feel like people will eat more cake when there’s multiple flavor choices, so limit it to one or two.  I’m not sure what kind of kids you know but the ones I know love cake and would eat tons.

I would only go with 1 or  2 flavors if your goal is to minimize the amount of cake you need to purchase and gets eaten. More flavors equals more people wanting to try multiple flavors. I also think it is risky to assume that not everyone will want some. You should plan for a minimum of one serving per person and really 1.25 servings per person even if you only have one flavor. Generally the rule of thumb is if you have multiple flavors you should plan for 1 and 1/2 servings to 2 servings per person.
