Have any bees ever taken a honeymoon here? It is a place the Fiance and I are looking into.
Do you have any recommendations as far as a place to stay?
Things to do?
Where to eat?
…and if you have honeymooned here, how much was it total?
Thanks for your help!

I was in Nova Scotia last summer, and it’s beautiful. However, we also went to Newfoundland and I honestly think it’s the most stunning place I’ve ever been. What are you looking to do on your honeymoon? Driving? Hiking? Shopping? Do you want to do a big city or little towns?

Oh man, if that’s what you want totally skip Nova Scotia. Go to Newfoundland and go to Gros Morne National Park. There are TONS of hikes, lots of kayaking, etc in Bonne Bay, it’s amazing. I can’t speak highly enough of it. Fiance and I keep saying we’d like to rent a cottage at Gros Morne and stay an entire summer, I swear you wouldn’t run out of things to do!
Nova Scotia is pretty, but it’s more of a driving, small towns, poking around kind of place. Newfoundland has tons of parklands and more outdoorsy type activities to do (IMHO). I think it’s my favourite vacation ever, and I’m fortunate enough to have been all over the world!!! If you want to see a few photos/read non-goverment written reviews, we had a little blog of our trip 🙂
I’ve heard Terra Nova is gorgeous but we didn’t get a chance to go there. If you do decide to go, make sure you do the Western Brook Pond boat tour. It’s a half hour hike into the launch site and it is outstanding. The only way I could describe it is that it’s like Jurassic Park. Everything is so pristine and untouched and stunning, you can’t believe it’s real.
Sigh. Now I want to go back, LOL!
