I’m starting to get a daily reality check of how soon November is. My invites are being sent out this week.
I think we should club together November 2012 bees and share the excitment as the last few weeks unfold, so share with a few details below and keep us posted (and sane!) in the run up to OUR BIG DAY
Wedding Date: 24th November
Why November: I love the winter season, cold, crisp and easier to make a romantic atmosphere.
Thing (s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: Invitations!
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……
Seeing everyone I love share the day with us

My invites are going out this week too! I can’t wait to start getting RSVP’s back. It makes it so real.

I am at work and just made a list of things I need to do before November….102 and the list is growing! How will I ever get all that crap done??? Oyyy
Im in the process of sending out my invites- have all my envelopes ready to go now just need to assemble and stamp and get them to the post office! Took me a long time last night just to get 15 of them done not looking forward to the other 70! I want to get them out in the mail tomorrow but I have a feeling it won’t be possible!

I sent out our invites Monday and people are starting to mention that they’ve received them. Yay – I love the positive feedback! I think I’m on track with my to-do list, but I’m sure it’ll all catch up with me come October. In the meantime, I’m trying to work out more regularly and eat well since July and August were busy with travel/weddings/parties and my diet and exercise got a bit derailed. Right now, I’m most excited about my first dress fitting on September 17th. Here’s my list
Wedding Date: November 10
Why November: Price was right, weather isn’t too cold yet, and it gave us enough time to plan
Thing (s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: finishing my DIY chiffon flower bridesmaid sashes, buying a bachelorette party dress, IKEA trip for centerpiece vases & table name frames
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to…… wearing my dress & partying with all my family and friends.

I added one category!
Wedding Date: November 3
Why November: Timing just worked for us; getting married in New Orleans so fall weather should be nice (assuming hurricanes don’t wreak havoc ); fall is my favorite time of year
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: I’m sending out invitations today – I’ll be relieved when that’s done. Still need a veil or something for my hair, and I need to decide what to do with my hair. I don’t have any jewelry/accessories yet either. Dress fittings (I guess that’s more on my seamstress’ to do list than mine). Need to finish writing ceremony (almost done). Need to send out invitations to the welcome dinner (sigh, more invitations). Need to choose a first dance song and a processional and recessional song. Um…and probably a lot of other things that I’m in denial about.
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……Hopefully(!!) enjoying lovely weather in a beautiful setting on the day of and celebrating with everyone who’s able to make it.
Most freaked out about at the moment: Getting too many “yes” RSVPs. As much as I think “the more the merrier,” our guest list kind of expanded after we chose our venues…yikes. While everyone should be able to fit no matter what, it could be very very tight.

Wedding Date: November 10
Why November: We got engaged in September 2012 and the venue we wanted either had May 5 or November 10 open. We both LOVE the fall and we wanted extra time to plan/save, so Nov. 10 it was!
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: Sending out invites, buying stuff for my hair, finishing up gifts for Bridesmaid or Best Man and Groomsmen…there’s a nice long list somewhere.
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……Getting to see everyone in one space, having the time of our lives. OH and the HONEYMOON!
Most freaked out about at the moment: Definitely the guest list. And my dress. I bought a dress totally outside of what I was imagining, and I LOVE it, but sometimes I think I should have gone simpler. Oh well!

@Leonard2B let us know how you get on with the RSVPs. The invitations have been the biggest headache for me so far and I really just want to get them done and sent. If they aren’t sent by this time next week, I’ll be offically freaking out!
@babu22 Oh, you have to show us the result of your DYI project, they sound amazing! How are you dyeing them?
@Eglantine good call on adding the addtional topic. To that I’d say I’m ost freaked out about the wedding in general. My stomach drops every time I think about the wedding now, I’m a ball of nerves! Keep us posted on the weather updates and your day.
@aloisk57 What does your dress look like? I bet it’s lovely, care to share a pic?
Once these invitions are out I will be celebrating like mad. Most of the guest attending know the date and are all local so it’s not such an issue but I feel like I’m the one holding things up, I just need to pull them together and send them out!
I did have another question, is anyone else going to be TTC shortly after the wedding? I jump from feeling really ready (I’m 28, Fi 31) to feeling like I want more time to enjoy being just married and getting over the wedding in general.

Nice work starting this MrsG!!! I can’t believe how quickly this year has slipped away and November is almost upon us!!!
Wedding Date: November 11
Why November: We first met almost 4 years ago on November 20, then were engaged last year on the 18th (we had our anniversary dinner early), and November 11th was the most auspicious date according to the Buddhist calender close to our special dates! Plus 2012 is the Year of the Dragon and especially lucky for marriages!
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: My list is really coming together as we are having a Destination Wedding and I basically have to send them a list & pics of what I want. I booked all of our ‘obligations’ whilst in Thailand this week eg. Embassy to file wedding paperwork, meet celebrant, meet photographers etc. Oh and I better get those visas for Cambodia & Vietnam done too!
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……Having our nearest & dearest all together having a great adventure in Thailand!!! I just did our wedding day timeline and it looks like it will be a fabulous day! Then followed by a fabulous life together!
Most freaked out about at the moment: My dress – I am travelling 1400km to get it fitted and pick it up. I’m not quite at my ‘bride body’ peak that I want, so I am concerned I may need to get it ‘tightened up’ again before the big day!!! Also stressing that my wedding ring won’t fit on the day due to the humidity & heat swelling me up!!!

Hello there! We sent out our family invites on Sunday and we have already got 2 RSVPs back! Those people now have a special place in my heart 🙂
Wedding Date: 24th November
Why November: originally we wanted December because that’s our relationship anniversary….the reception venue double booked and offered us the November date with some great concessions. I’m actually loving the date significance now – 24 is a special number for our family (my bday is 24th August, DD’s bday and MILs bday is 24th Feb and this is the year I turned 24). Also November is Spring here so beautiful weather.
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: friends invites to be assembled and sent out, wedding programs to be completed, alterations to be done on dress, another hair trial to organize (because I had to do a complete 180 on that!), need to get our playlist to the DJ, debating about buying flats for the reception, underwear to go under the dress to be bought. All the fiddly details…le sigh
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to: seeing the fruition of all this planning, being able to sit back and enjoy being married!
Most freaked out about at the moment: forgetting something important :-/, getting the last 5kgs off
Post # 12
This year of planning has FLOWN by!!
Wedding Date: November 3
Why November: Loved fall and the November discount was a nice perk at our venue 🙂
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: Oh. Ma. Gah. Yes, the invites. They will go out next week. And about 13,000 other small details like deciding on final centerpieces, escort card design, etc. mentioned by PPs. Thanks, ladies!
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……Celebrating with everyone and leaving for that honeymoon!!
Most freaked out about at the moment: Did I mention our invites aren’t out yet? Freaked out that my phone says 65 days left! I can’t believe I thought I could ‘relax’ these last few months. My blood pressure is through the roof!
72 days left for me and there is definitely a “holy sh!t” moment at least once a day! I’m just getting so excited, but with all of the things that are changing right now, especially the construction of our new home, I just can’t seem to get things done!
Wedding Date: November 10
Why November: November is when we started dating, when we realized we were meant to be together, the best times in our relationship, and when we got engaged. It felt really natural for us to plan the wedding for November! There is still something about the smell of crisp leaves and a campfire that just makes my heart swell!
Thing (s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: Cake…I know what I want to do (and can afford to do) but everyone is freaking out about me having to ice cupcakes (with 5 other people) the morning of my 4:30 pm wedding…le sigh
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to….. the honeymoon! And closing on our brand spanking new house when the honeymoon is over! And seeing all my friends! And getting to wear my dress! Yea, I’m pretty excited about the whole thing 😀
Most freaked out about at the moment: The guest list is already over and causing family drama (not because of us but because of FFIL’s wacky ex wives)!
Here is my first of 6 bridesmaid sashes (photo is on my bed, not the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses). 8 flowers done and 10 to go! (btw, I didn’t dye the fabric, just bought it in those colors). So much tedious cutting and sewing, and I still have to go buy more crystals.
And, since I didn’t get to do it earlier, Most freaked out about at the moment: I haven’t started freaking out about things like programs, escort cards, or menus. I figure that stuff will sort itself out as we get closer. I guess the main things on my mind right now are finalizing our monogram design (also DIY’d) and ordering the backdrop for our step & repeat (the monogrammed backdrop for our red carpet arrivals). Oh, and finding a red carpet rental I suppose, if our venue doesn’t have one.
Ahh, so soon ladies, so soon!
Wedding Date: November 3 (two months from Monday- holy crap!!!)
Why November: It worked for our schedule, and the venue we wanted had an art installation that day (if the installation had started earlier, I’d be an October bride, but now I’m loving the extra time to get stuff done)
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: Right now, ceremony music is the only really big thing left to be figured out, although hopefully that will be finalized this week. Other details we’re dealing with right now are first dance/parent’s dance songs, his ring, picking tuxes for men, and the exact details of the ceremony.
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……seeing all of our nearest and dearest in one room at the same time. Oh, and the honeymoon 🙂
Most freaked out about at the moment: My hair and the fit of the dress, as both my hair trial and my second (and hopefully last) fitting will occur only two days before the wedding. It’s complicated to plan a long-distance wedding!
I can’t believe we are almost there! I’m definitely feeling like crunch time!
Wedding Date: November 3
Why November: I had always envisioned a fall wedding but when we got engaged in December most of the good September/October dates were already booked. It actually worked out better because the first weekend in November is so close to October and we’re able to take advantage of some offseason pricing.
Thing(s) that still need to be done and you don’t need reminding damn it!: The rest of my DIY projects haha. I have aisle cones, all the signs, seating chart, all my paper things, centerpieces, welcome baskets, and favors left.
Other than marrying the man of my dreams I am most looking forward to……Wearing my dress and being in Vermont with all our friends and family. I’m also looking forward to the best party ever!
Most freaked out about at the moment: Paying for the wedding and whether or not my Future Mother-In-Law with be able to suck up her distaste for F(step)MIL at the wedding. Very bad blood there!
