@MrsStrawberry24:  Great timing πŸ˜‰ I’ll only be working casually myself, and once baby comes I’ll be very picky with the clients I take on.  It really is a blessing.  I know a lot of women who cannot afford to stay home and that breaks my heart.

Hello everyone!  Can I join you all?  I just got my BFP today :-)))))))))))))))))))

When did you get your pos/what cycle day were you on?:  Today! / CD 23 or a 25 day cycle.

How many DPO were you before you saw that second line?: 10 DPO but now I look at my other tests I think I can see a faint line at 8 DPO and 9 DPO.

After how many cycles of trying did you get this BFP?:  1!

Estimated Due Date?:  November 26 based on LMP and I think November 25 based on my O date but I totally can’t work that out.  I O’d on CD13 and if the LMP thing is based on a O on CD14 I think that means I take off a day?  Ultimately, I’m sure the baby isn’t going to care!!

How will you (or how have you) told your friends and family:  Dear Fiance is in working in another country at the moment.  I wanted to wait to tell him face to face / on Skype but the excitement got the better of me and I just called him.  He was at work and said he would have to go for a walk for a while to try to get rid of his huge smile πŸ™‚

I am not telling anyone else until 12 weeks or rather 13 and a half when we will tell my family while we are all away on vacation.  I am a hugely private person (except when I’m on WB!) so if I had an MC I wouldn’t want to talk to anyone about it.  Dear Fiance needs to decide how to tell his family but I think I’ll get to go first πŸ™‚  I can’t wait to tell – 1st grandchild in my family, 1st in about 10 years in his.  I want to do a cake reveal on my side πŸ™‚

Any symptoms?:  Nausea.  It started yesterday and isn’t too bad at the moment.  As long as it doesn’t get worse I can handle this!  My heart has been racing a little, I’ve felt kind of hot and had a headache last night (I never usually get them).

Anything you’ve given up so far?:  Alcohol.  It is going to be so hard!  Drinking is kind of part of my job in an abstract kind of way and it is going to be seriously interesting getting through the next 12 weeks without giving the game away.  I don’t drink coffee.  I am doing the healthy eating / organic thing too.  Organic food is sooooo expensive though.  I keep thinking that I can’t afford to keep this up until the kid is 18 so he might have to get used to some chemicals like the rest of us have!

Any other kids?:  No and we want FOUR so we needed to get started on this!!!  (When I say “we” it is possible that I mean “I” but unless he goes for a secret vasectomy he’s going to get 4!!) πŸ™‚

Boy/Girl preference?:  I really want a boy and I am trying reaalllly hard to stop wanting one because I think it will be a girl and I need to not care either way by the time that happens!

I am dying of excitement over here πŸ™‚  Woohoo for us pregnant ladies!!  I am really looking forward to getting to know you all and I really hope the baby sticks around so that I can!

@ilovebogart:  YAY!!!! welcome!!!! I love that we are getting so many November mommies!!!

I just wanted to share with you ladies that at the end of this week we should all have babies with beating hearts! MC rates go down to 3% after that. We are almost there.

I know the first couple of weeks can be so trimatic and scary but these little babies are so worth it!

I am praying for all of us and out little beans!

@MrsStrawberry24:  Is that supposed to be 6 weeks or 8? From the information I’ve read I’ve seen both. Not conflicting exactly, but confusing. There’s just so much information.

Has anyone else had weird feelings in their hands and arms and fingers?

Wow I missed a lot being away for work.

Nauseous right now and have been for a couple days. It is manageable, but ALL the time. If I eat its OK for a little bit. Hopeing it doesnt get worse. I have a delicate stomach anyway and I was afraid I would have bad MS.

Oddly enough I feel fine when I am working out so I have been able to go for a run at least everyother day since I found out or do some sort of workout with light weights/squats/sprints etc.

Hi November mamas!! I am a long time lurker, but I just got my BFP and am so pysched to join in Laughing!!

Here is my info:

When did you get your pos/what cycle day were you on?:  Today! CD31, I have 35-40 day cycles.

How many DPO were you before you saw that second line?: I am 11dpo today. The line was definitely faint, but there!

After how many cycles of trying did you get this BFP?:  This is our second cycle of NTNP, but we knew when I O’d.

Estimated Due Date?:  November 23, 2013

How will you (or how have you) told your friends and family: I needed DH to pick up some more pregnancy tests to confirm on his way home so that kind of took the fun out of that! I am horrible with keeping my mouth shut, so it probably would never have been a big thing. I’m not really sure yet how we’re going to tell family and friends, we’re both still pretty in shock! We are planning on keeping it secret for a while though.

Any symptoms?:  Just some strange localized cramping, and feeling really hot/restless at night.

Anything you’ve given up so far?:  Not really, I dont drink so that’s kind of a plus. I’m a huge fish/sushi lover so I think that will be the hardest.

Age: DH and I are both 25.

Any other kids?:  Nope, this will be our first!

Boy/Girl preference?: I think I’ve always envisioned a boy, but either will be perfect. Just hoping for a healthy 9 months!

I am SOOOO excited to be joining out, but completely in shock. I’ve had some weird health issues in the past and didn’t have a ton of faith in my body, so this was really unexpected and welcome!! It’s obviously super early so just trying to relax and appreciate it day-by-day. Congrats to all of you and I’m so looking forward to going this journey with you!!

@ilovebogart:  Congrats and welcome!  I’m loving seeing how many ladies are due in November!  It’s going to be an exciting few months ahead of us.

Before we started TTC I cut out caffeing but every once in a while I would still pick up a decaf coffee to enjoy at my desk while getting started at work.  This morning I feel like the smell of the coffee is going to make me puke.  This is definitely odd because the smell of coffee was the hardest part of giving up caffeine for me in the first place because I loved it so much.  It’s pretty amazing to see how pregnancy really does change things!

@ilovebogart:   Welcome ladies!

SO I hadmy first food aversion last night. My husband cooked chicken on th grill and while he was eating I had a horrible bout of dry heaving. I had an apple and pb for dinner because nothing sounded good. Nothing but friut has progressively been the only things that sound good. Ill be getting a bunch of fruit and ypgurt and pb for the office since I eat breakfast and lunch there.

@MrsStrawberry24:  3% is a statistic I can deal with πŸ™‚ Thanks for that!

@MichiganBee:  Yay! Welcome to the group–so happy you’re joining us! I had lots of cramping too, still do but it isn’t as often now. I think I’m about two weeks ahead of you, so hopefully yours will ease up a bit too. πŸ™‚

Hope everyone is feeling great today! I was up all night coughing and with a sore throat…hoping it’s just allergies but I need to research what I can and can’t take! We are visiting the in-laws this weekend, so I think we may tell them the big news. We can’t keep it a secret any longer!

Also, I know it’s still early, but I’ve been researching renting a fetal heartbeat doppler (when I get to the point where it would work at least–about 12 weeks). Has anyone else thought about doing this? I am such a worrier, I know it would be a huge relief to be able to find the heartbeat whenever I wanted to in between appointments. The only thing is–I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to operate in properly and then not hear it, and it’d cause even more panic! What do you guys think?

@Annie624: To be honest, I wouldn’t get a Doppler.  Apparently it is difficult to get the heart beat even for a health care practitioner depending on the position of the baby, so I think you could possibly worry yourself to death if you happen to not find it on any given day.

I’ve thought about it myself but decided against it because of a client of mine who purchased one.  She was high risk so her Dr’s are some of the best fertility specialists in the country, she went in for an ultra sound at 8 weeks and heard the heart beat.  A week later the gyno couldn’t find the heart beat with her doppler but reassured her everything was all good, she went in for an ultra sound that day and heard the heart beat again.

Think about how you’ll feel if you’re at home, not hearing the heart beat and can’t get that reassurance right away. I would die.

@applebeee:  That is definitely a legitimate concern of mine. I am afraid it would end up in more unplanned doctor’s or ER visits because I would be so panicked if I couldnt find it! I think I am just grasping at straws because this waiting game is just horrible… I am so looking forward to getting to the point where I can feel the baby kick and move, and be assured things are OK in there… Never realized that would be the milestone that I look forward to most!

I’ve been busy with work and havn’t really had the chance to catch up on here!  Man – I’ve missed a lot!

Congrats to all the new ladies with their BFP!

AFM, I really haven’t had any symptoms.  This was starting to make me worried, so I bought another pregnancy test! ha ha!!  IMMEDIATELY, the second line showed up and it was very dark – so this made me feel better!  I’m going to call the doctor early next week and try to get an appointment to get in.  I’m looking forward to that first ultrasound!

Hi Ladies I guess I’m going to join this board…got my BFP this morning. Still in shock. Thought I was out. Today is my birthday so this is by far the best birthday present every!!!!

EDD 11/26..unoffical, based on several website calculators.

When did you get your pos/what cycle day were you on?: 3/14..CD24

How many DPO were you before you saw that second line?: 12DPO

After how many cycles of trying did you get this BFP?  Been off BC since July, NTNT since Dec…this is 1st cycle actively TTC

How will you (or how have you) told your friends and family: Not sure how we will tell family yet…We are getting married April 7 so going to try and wait until after the wedding. I’m really close with my mom so I may end up telling her before. My BFF I may get a cute onsie that says “awesome like my auntie” or something like that.

What symptoms have you been feeling (if any)?:  Haven’t had any syptoms that made me suspect I was KU…I actually thought I was out this cycle.

Anything you’ve given up so far?:  I’ll be giving up my wine. I already limit my coffee to 1/2 or 1 cup a day of half-caf.
