Newbie here! But def not a newbie at TTC. We’ve been trying to conceive for the past several years…not every single cycle bc it gets to stressful with non-stop TTC. Out of the last 36 cycles I’d estimate everything has lined up (or so I thought) for maybe 15 of the cycles! Every month I thought I had crazy PG symptoms I got BFN. Now this month I’m not getting many symptoms and hoping that’s a good sign. I’m used to seeing BFN’s so I feel like it doesn’t phase me at this point but obviously still hurts my heart. I dream of the day I see my BFP! Good luck to all you TTCers ❤️

Your age/partner’s age: 35/35

Baby #: 1

Current Cycle Day/DPO: 6-7 DPO

Ovulation Date: 11/6-11/7

POAS/Beta Date: 11/20/18

Usual Cycle Length: 35 Days

Cycles Trying: too many to count…I’ve lost track at this point 🙁

Known fertility issues: When I was much younger…around 19/20 years old a I was told I have PCOS. At that time I started exercising, eating better and lost weight. I have had a yo-yo relationship with that lifestyle for the past 15 years. That being said, every specialist I’ve been to in the last 5 years cannot find any indication of PCOS on sonogram. They have also said my ovarian reserve good, I’m ovulating, had HSG just to ensure tubes patent etc. Everything comes back normal. I do have other metabolic issues – metabolic syndrome which I am working on trying to correct/regulate.

BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): OPK, CM, Prenatals

Trying anything new this month?

Link to your chart if charting:

For fun: What are you thankful for? I’m thankful for SO much! My husband, our life, my job, waking up every morning, our family and friends, and all the blessing we have now and will have in the future!

mrs_mnv :  sorry about the BFN they are the worst. Plan a great trip!  Sometimes you just need a break.

RaccoonKitty :  I hate symptom spotting and I can’t imagine how hard it is after a transfer. I’m already trying to figure out how to avoid testing till beta day after my FET next month.

cbn8787 :  I’ve had those dreams before. They are so deceiving. Sorry about AF.

latebloomerbee78 :  sorry about AF!

tulipdazey :  I’m so sorry your level was too high to start. I really hope AF comes for you soon so you don’t have to wait till January.

larissakay :  I’ve tested out that trigger so many times during my IUI cycles. It really drives you crazy. I would wait till morning of the beta if I were you. I’ve just been down that road so many times before and it made me a crazy person each time.

AFM, I got the call from RE today, they got 25 eggs yesterday, 15 were mature, and 10 fertilized!!! I am excited while trying not to get my hopes up. But 10 fertilized is closer than we have ever gotten.

tulipdazey :  I’m sorry your IVF got cancelled. It has to be hard to be patient when things like that happen. I think that’s been the hardest thing for me through all of this is the lack of control.

highheelsnhighhopes :  Welcome!

AFM I have my appointment this morning. They’re trying to confirm ovulation with a blood draw. However, I read a blood test for pregnancy can be accurate as soon as 7 dpo which was yesterday or today. So, I’m going to ask her if they’ll test for pregnancy also. Might as well, with my delivery in September, I’m almost at my out of pocket max for the year anyway. Anyone have any previous experience with that? I’m really nervous for this appointment. I have always been anxious about doctor appointments anyway, but now I’m really not a fan. My husband can’t go, he has to put our 4 year old on the bus before I’ll get home.

tulipdazey :  I asked, but she said there was really no reason for it. She wouldn’t get my results back until Thursday and I should be able to test myself on Friday. I’m sorry you’re so up in the air with your stuff. It’s so hard not knowing what happens next.

Thanks, everyone. I ended up getting my period, but I’m not out for this month since my cycles are so short/abnormal.

Moving forwards with all our diagnostic tests, I have a pelvic ultrasound on Saturday and then a sonohysterogram on Tuesday.  They are both in a large city 2 hours away from us, and I’m so frustrated that I have to go to a city two hours away from where I live, on a Saturday, to have a pelvic ultrasound done when there is an ultrasound clinic in my town! The woman on the phone explained why they have to do the ultrasound in conjunction with the sonohysterogram but OMG. It’s so frustrating. And I don’t want to have these procedures done. I’m not happy about it.

At least when this is over I can book the follow up appointment with the doctor and hopefully there will be some clear problem that is easily fixable.

highheelsnhighhopes :  This sounds like so much like us. We’ve been doing this casually for a few years without any real ‘help’ that it’s just normal now.  We have said this is our last month and then I’m calling in the referral I was given last month at my family doctor

AFM – Got a positive OPK today, so I guess it’s go time.  I’m temping this month too, so I should be able to confirm O in the next day or two, but let’s put a tentative POAS date as Nov 30.  Just sneaking in on this board lol My usual cycles are about 30-35 days, so probably won’t get a chance to POAS in December.

tulipdazey :  This sounds incredibly frustrating!  After all you’ve been through to get to this point, I’m sure you had hoped this step would have been easier.  So sorry to hear it’s not going as planned!  It will be all worth it in the end!

angel_baby_12_9 :  I would be a nervous wreck for those appointments too, especially if hubby couldn’t come with me. Sure would have been nice if they could test HCG too!

heartandstars :  Some days, I feel like I live in my car having to drive back and forth for stuff like this!  It’s especially annoying when the appointments are so close together!

I got my results back yesterday. Progesterone level was only 11.4. She said that confirms ovulation, but isn’t high enough to sustain pregnancy if there is one, so I’m on a supplement now. I got impatient and tested yesterday at 9 dpo, but got a negative. I’m disappointed, but trying to stay hopeful. I think I’ll test again this afternoon when I get up.

You can remove me from POAS for tomorrow. I guess I jumped the gun, after two days of positive OPK and a morning temp jump, the temp didn’t stay up and is back at typical basline. I’m guessing no O yet. So weird, O was super early on Letrozole CD5-9 and we move it to CD3-7 and I get to CD18 and no O? Just another weird unexplained thing to add to the long list. Anyways, I won’t be testing tomorrow. Will update if I can O this cycle.

maplebride :  That’s crazy. I wonder what your pesky body is doing!

I had my progesterone check this am, so now I’m just waiting for results. My temp is still near my usual cover line, so I’m afraid something went haywire this cycle. However, I know all the meds can mess with BBT and trigger shots rarely fail, so I’m trying not to read too much into that. A good progesterone number will be reassuring for me.
