Our guests from the UK are flying in today and spending the week with us at the beach house where we’re getting married.  My Wedding Week starts today at 3pm when we pick them up from the airport!

I have to figure out how to fit in dying my hair and scrubbing the tub before we leave for the airport.  I also need to get my eyebrows waxed but that will probably have to wait until later this week.

My forecast shifted from Cloudy to 60% chance of Showers.  Boo!  It better change again, even Clouds are preferable to storms.

Just got access to our 7 day forecast, mostly sunny and 28C/82F, happy because it’s been stinking hot for the past few weeks and I’ve been getting worried. November is late spring for me!

Had my final hair colouring done last Monday, and I’m pretty much all done. My leave doesn’t start until the day before, which will be spent putting tables up and deciding where we’re going to seat people for the reception.

@beachbride1216:  I don’t envy you! Today my mum offered to make sure my house is spotless (ie last minute vacuum, clean bathrooms, etc) on Thursday while we’re at work, so we don’t have to worry about it Friday.

Has everyone had their hen’s night yet? Mine was yesterday and it was fun! We went on Wild Boys Afloat which is a 3.5hr river cruise with buffet dinner and stripper show. My mum was called up right at the start to demonstrate where the boys could and couldn’t be touched (I have an EPIC photo of her mid-spank behind the MC) and I got my own dance complete with cupping. Mental!

I love how in all of the “What to do 1 Week Before Your Wedding” articles and infographics I’ve seen – NO ONE reminds you, you should probably clean your house ๐Ÿ™‚

GAH I’m running out of time and I need to do a major cleaning!

@MissGemini:  OMG!  My apartment is a disaster!  Luckily no one is staying with us, but the guys will be getting together here on the day of.

We took all our venue decor to my parents yesterday so we can pack it into the trucks on Thursday for the rehearsal dinner.  We still have our gift bags for the wedding party all over the place and now my luggage is up and taking up room in the bedroom!

Thankfully, I’m off on Thursday and Friday!  My Out of Town family is coming in Wednesday night.  Tonight we’re off to our final DJ appointment.  It’s so crazy that it’s here!!!!

@FutureMrsLadolcetta:  Thank goodness you have Thurs. & Fri. off!!!! I’ve got this week to play around with, though I freelance and I owe images to a client bc I’ve been puting work off. JUST TOO DARN BUSY.

I think bc I’ve been planning for so long now everything is feeling kind of surreal, I don’t think it’s hit me that it’s actually 5 days away!!

@shadesofviolet:  Sounds beautiful!  I wish I could wear a wedding dress in the summer – I would have loved to get married at the beach, but in NY, fall is by far my favorite season.

So far it looks like my wedding date gamble has paid off!  The last 2 years, October 29th storms (Superstorm Sandy and a freak October Ice Storm) have knocked out power in my area for over a week in a lot of areas!!!

The first of our relatives came in on Monday – my Marine cousin flew in from Japan!  We have 6 more coming in today!

And I made it to my last day of work!!!  That’s the best part!!!!

Well, this time tomorrow I will be married! Less than 24 hours to go. I think I might be first cab off the rank out of us ladies because of the timezone, but let me know if I’m wrong!

My nails have been done, everything bought, cake picked up, and right now Fiance and my dad are hanging fairy lights. Once that’s done us ladies can get stuck in with hanging up the decorations, organising the tables etc.

I have to say, as much as I will enjoy our wedding day, I’m really looking forward to our honeymoon. A week in a 4.5 star resort, with day tours and time to relax. We’re going to hand feed some dolphins!

@shadesofviolet:  Sounds like an amazing honeymoon, where are you going?? It does sound like you’ll be the 1st one of us to walk down the aisle bc of your timezone. I’ll definitely be thinking of all of my fellow bees on the morning of!

Today is going to be so much fun, I’m meeting my co-ordinator, getting my nails done with the girls, then it’ll be time for the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner!!!

@MissGemini:  We’re going to a town called Rainbow Beach, it’s a few hours drive from where we live. It got its name because the sand is different colours. Fiance used to go camping there when he was a kid. We’re staying at a resort for 6 nights.

Well, our day is here! It’s 7.45am on the 2nd. Getting our hair and makeup done now, and then we have most of the day to relax before getting dressed.

Here’s a couple of pics from yesterday, my nails and our backyard mostly decorated. I’m on my phone so the pics have gone to the top of the post.

ETA: damnit, they loaded upside down and I can’t rotate them!
