@Annie624: I totally have been experiencing that! Ugh, so annoying. I also find that I get congested all the time, especially after any physical activity.
@MrsStrawberry24: hope you feel better soon!
I have not been able to post very often, but I have been trying to stay caught up with reading! Had my NT scan today, and the sonographer said that everything looks good. There was a strong hb in the 170s and the baby was moving a lot! It looked at one point like s/he was waving at us! They took blood and said that I could call in a week for the results.I am seeing my new doc on Friday and I think she is planning to do the harmony test. Will that be a duplication of what was done today? They did not do harmony today.
Still feeling very tired but overall good. Dealing with some annoying pregnancy acne. And I have much more of a bump than I would have expected at 12 weeks!

@Annie624 I’ve been getting stuffed up overnight for the whole 13 weeks. I wake up all clogged and dry mouth. Ugh!

Ok ladies, with my NT scan tomorrow and the second trimester right around the corner, DH and I have been thinking a lot about how we want to announce to our friends. Since everyone is so spread out all over the country, we were planning to email out a photo, and then eventually post the same photo on FB. But we can’t decide which! Help us choose… (sorry for the enormous pics)
This first one is very much our personality but DH is afraid people might not “get it” right away.

The shoes are pretty obvious and the message is clear. We’ve also had a thing about taking pictures of our shoes ever since we started dating and DH bought me those baby converse last year as a green light to TTC. BUT the shoes are less original and have been done recently by one of my co-workers who I actually have a lot of mutual friends with.

@bijou214: Go for the shirt/onesie pic-I think it’s adorable!
@Rugelach: YES! Haha if I’m having a long conversation with someone my nose will inevitably start getting snotty (so embarrassing)
@Miss Damask: YES! Night is the worst. I wake up like every morning thinking I’m getting a cold but then I just remember what it really is 😉 much better than a common cold!

@annie624 why is it that we get like that? all stopped up? Is that a pregnancy thing?

@Miss Damask: Ya know.. good question! I think I remember reading somewhere that the progesterone levels can make it this way (go figure). Also I know that it can cause your sinus membranes to swell(i think?) causing more bloody noses. My dr told me this on my first visit because I’ve had several just since finding out I’m pregnant! It’s so bizarre. Lol

@Miss Damask: I wish I haven’t gained much weight! I am pretty petite (5’4″ 113lbs pre-pregnancy) but have gained about 7 lbs so far, and it has been pretty even…about 3/4lb per week. I am 13w4d and weighed 120lbs today. I had zero morning sickness during the first tri so just chalking it up to that. Been eating pretty much the same as I was pre-preg, except not working out as much. Not much of a bump yet, except none of my jeans fit anymore! Loving my sweats and maternity pants these days..

@wellheeledmama: Def dont fret about your 7lb weight gain, being 5’4 weighing 113 is def on the low side so your body is prob just adjusting to the babys needs. I started at 120 being 5’4 and am at 130lbs! People are saying what I am saying to you lol, so hard to not get bothered by this much gain at 13 weeks 4 days but its just he beginning!
I had a couple gf’s who gained 40 lbs and 50 lbs and they both lost it 4 months postpartum so I am hoping that happens for me!

@bijou214: love the first announcement, I think ppl will totally get it!
@Ashley1001: @traceyjoy: @catracha: great pics!!!!!
ugh, ladies I feel like such a bad mom tonight. On the way home I was craving something cold and sweet. I stopped at Wendy’s and got a chocolate frosty. I sent my sis a pic of it saying how good it was anod she responded “umm, isn’t that soft serve?!”…Oh #%|{. totally forgot and didn’t think about that. I actually had soft serve a coupe weeks ago and was ok with it, but now I feel awful for having it again.Then, I get home, go for a walk and decide on dinner. I am still not feeling like eating mest, but found calabrese in the fridge, perfect! I cut up a few slices, have maybe 1/4 of them and then realize not only is this cold cut meat, it’s not even cooked and has nitrates in it. WTF is wrong with me!???? I feel so bad and now a paranoid I did harm to this wee babe. What was I thinking?? I clearly wasn’t. Ugh. Maybe just need some reassurance. I keep telling myself that plenty of women every year do far worse things while pregnant especially those who don’t know they are pregnant or maybe don’t want to be. I just feel like such an asshat.
🙁

@StaceyA: I totally ate deli cut turkey without heating it my 6th week, twice at least. I almost always toast my sandwiches anyway so the deli meat thing hasn’t been an issue but I was staying with my grandmother and of course didn’t think of it. Chances are you are totally fine with the frosty!
