@Ashley1001:  Congrats!  It’s raining girls!

I can’t believe I forgot to mention that my mom has graciously offered to come spend the first few weeks with us to help out around the house and with the baby.  She even offered to come back when I return to work if there is a gap in time before I can get the baby placed in day care (there are long waits here).  Also, my skirt is SO tight today.  My regular clothes days are pretty much numbered!

Congrats to all the ladies having girls! So exciting! I still have 11 more days until my next appt. I can’t wait!

I’ve also been a little MIA because of the whirl wind weekend I had… saturday wedding in NYC, sunday wedding in SF, then flying home to LA. Phew, tired just thinking about it, but I had a blast! I was SO EMOTIONAL throughout both ceremonies. Hahaha, I was a blubbering idiot and I think I scared some of my friends who didn’t know I was pregnant yet. Hahaha.

16w3d today. All week, I’ve been *thinking* I feel the baby but I still can’t be sure. I’ve definitely felt little flutters or tiny pops but half the time, I think it’s just gas. I’m hoping to feel something a little more definitive within the next couple of weeks.

I read that baby can hear our voices by now so I have been trying to talk to him/her and play classical music… although half the time I just end up falling asleep. =P Anyone else doing anything like that?

So excited about all these girls (: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

11 more sleeps for me until our dating ultrasound <3

And my first OB appointment went dreadful! My NT test numbers were amazing and I am thankful, but my OB told me I have already gained all the weight I am allowed for this pregnancy and that I should stop eating meals. I was so upset yesterday I told my Darling Husband to drive me to a hospital and get them to put an IV in me because I was not going to eat anymore. He tried to take me for a nice thai dinner and I just stayed in the car and cried. I am not happy with my OB, needless to say. I worry that it is too late to change and find a new one I don’t hate with a passion.

@GreenDream:  Girl, it is NOT too late to change, we barely started our second trimester! You can’t stay with an OB who makes you feel bad! Please try to find a new one!

Do you mean your next US is June 17th? That’s when mine is as well! So excited to find out if we are having a little lady or gent!

As for me, Darling Husband and I are leaving tonight on the train from Paris to London for our mini babymoon! We are staying only for the weekend, but I’m looking forward to this very much! I especially booked  nice hotel so we can relax and walk around the neighborhood. It will be hard not to buy cute little baby clothes, but not knowing the sex will actuall help me!

Cheers everybody and TGIF!

@GreenDream:  Wah???? That seems crazy to me! You should NOT be depriving your baby of nutrition! If anything, your OB should have advised you to increase your excercise, not skimp on meals. Have you really gained over 20lbs in the past 4 months? I feel like that’s highly unlikely. You should DEFINITELY considering changing docs.

@GreenDream:  what a crappy way to get her point across. She simply should have said to bulk of on fruits and vegetables. It is NOT to late to find a new one if you want.  Heck, I havet even met my new OB yet (this Monday) since I moved.

I had a stay in the car crying fit as well if it makes you feel better. I tried to find a bathingsuit I fit into and I feel so gross πŸ™ And Darling Husband said “is this one of those emotional things I was warned about”.  Then last night I was bitching that I like the belly, just not the bigger hips and thighs and he told me to do squats.  That man has come close to castrated a few times. (For the record I told him the proper response was to tell me I am beautiful because i am carrying his baby, not to affirm that I am getting fat and to give me advice how to fix it)

@Ashley1001:  Cute name. Thats pretty much exactly the same way we came up with our names. Someone would mention it and the other would think about it and go “yes, I think I like it”. and yay pink!

@traceyjoy:  I have an U/S video they gave us, but no great stills. I will have to do a screen shot later. Or Ill wait for the anatamoy scan.

@bijou214:  Busy busy! i am also at my second wedding, but luckily thet are a week apart. Last week I was in Boston, then I went to CT for a couple days and I am now in VA doing my work from the lobby. My Brother-In-Law gets married Sat. I also cried so much at the last ceremony, except it wasnt so much the ceremony but I kept thinking how great it will be to stand up there when my sister gets married some day.

@Miss. RubyLove:  Count down is on!

@MrsChacha:  Have so much fun! I am jealous. We are hoping to maybe make it to Savannah for a weekend for a baby moon, but well see. There is a lot going on with weddings, moving etc.

@Ashley1001:  CONGRATS on another GIRL!!! YAY!!!!! So many little ladies, I love it!!!

@NJmeetsBX:  that is so sweet of your mom to offer to come in and help, that will be huge. I have heard that little things like being able to grab a shower make the biggest difference – that’s amazing! My mom is only 7 mins away, and my Mother-In-Law about 2 minutes.. I am thankful that they are all super close to us for extra hands and help.

@bijou214:  that is so funny, I am 16w2 days today and Wed/Thurs at night I swear I was feeling something. I had just eaten a popsicle both times and was sitting on the couch with my feet up. It is so hard to tell, I kept thinking maybe it was something, but could have been nothing. It is super low which makes me think maybe it was baby movin’ around in there πŸ™‚ I can’t wait for some actual big movements!

@GreenDream:  I think it would be totally worthwhile looking into a new OB, you want to be 100% comfortable with someone who you are going through this experience with. I’m sorry you had a sh!tty experience, that sucks. πŸ™

@MrsChacha:  Enjoy your trip!! That sounds delightful!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a great weekend! Is anyone doing any fun baby stuff this weekend?

@StaceyA:  Yes!  I am so happy!!!  I am 4 hours from my family so it is a big deal for her to come to help.  DH’s mom is nearby but I don’t think she will be able to help to that degree.  We are car shopping this weekend!  Getting in and out of Darling Husband coupe is getting difficult.  We’ll probably browse some baby furniture too.

@ThreeMeers:  Yay Team Pink! London is such a cute name πŸ™‚ Congrats!!

@Ashley1001:  Woo hoo for baby girls!!! πŸ™‚ I love the name Harper. It’s actually our dog’s name because our first dance was to a Ben Harper song! I will admit I kinda wish we had saved it for a human baby πŸ˜‰ Darling Husband really likes the name Harlow, but I feel like it’s too close to our sweet puppy’s name!

@GreenDream:  Omg–that is horrible! I am so sorry your appointment did not go well. But seriously what kind of OB tells a pregnant lady to STOP EATING MEALS?!

@MrsChacha:  How wonderful! Enjoy your babymoon!

@ThreeMeers:  Bahaha “he has come close to castration”–too funny! One night when I was complaining about how I felt like I look gross Darling Husband told me to “spend more time on the elliptical.” Which I guess wouldn’t hurt but I told him you can’t say those things to a pregnant lady! Hopefully they’ll learn soon πŸ™‚ It probably won’t get any better for the next few months-ha!

I’m so sorry I have been incredibly MIA this week! So overwhelmed with the news of having a baby girl and trying to get the ball rolling on getting things ready. In addition to all that excitement, I was offered a job promotion this week so I am super excited about that! I’m starting to do some research on registry items, because I received word that my first shower will be happening August 11… Ahh! So much to think about/do! Is it appropriate to register at more than one place? I have no idea what etiquette is here. We will be having 3, possibly 4, showers (I know-so overwhelming) so I will probably need to register for quite a bit-which is stressful.

Otherwise, I am feeling awesome and I felt baby girl move throughout several different points in my day yesterday (I am 17weeks 5days) and it was amazing!! Such a sweet reminder of my little sweet potato. πŸ˜‰ For names I think Darling Husband and I have settled on Willa Catherine “Willa Cate”, but not 100% sure yet. I hope everyone is doing wonderfully, and that you all have a fabulous weekend!

@Annie624:  Ooh, I really like Willa Cate! It’s cute, yet sophisticated at the same time. As for the registries, I know many people who sign up at multiple stores – and I think it’s pretty common to do at least 2. Especially considering a lot of stores do completion discounts, I would definitely look into all your options. Personally, I registered at Babies R’ Us and Target for ease of returns (especially diapers).

@ThreeMeers:  Darling Husband has made some comments too but he’s generally good.  He hasn’t stepped into the danger zone that is comments about getting bigger and exercising.  He has gotten into the habit of saying, “Don’t be a mean pregnant lady” to which I respond “Stop calling her name and you won’t see her!”  I’ll admit I have gone from impatient (pre-pregnancy) to absolutely no patience whatsoever.  LOL
