Hi ladies. im a december mama popping in! Im due december 21st but due to very complex liver problems, our babe is gonna have to arrive early. Im 37 weeks Novemver 30th but its very likely baby will be here closer to 34-36 weeks . i figured i would introduce myself and get aquainted with you ladies as well because baby might be developing much more like a November baby. luckily our little man is running about 10 days above schedule, my Fiance is a sasquatch. however im fluffy sized and failed my early 1hr glucose test so it could be GD related! Are you ladies on FB too? No comments for a few days!! Hope to catch up with you (:

@gpsp2B:  Hi mama! It’s little bit funny that you popped over because I was just thinking that I might need to do the same with the December moms. My due date is the 23rd, and she’s my first, so if she decided to wait more than a week to come I’ll end up giving birth in December. Either way, congrats and if you become a November Mama welcome πŸ˜‰ We do have a facebook group, so I do think that’s why it’s been quiet over here.

@gpsp2B:  welcome to the group! It has been quiet lately, but there are a few non-facebook users on here that appreciate the company πŸ™‚

I’m loving all the shower updates. My invites should be going out this week for my September 15th shower. I’m so thankful that one of my good friends agreed to host. I am going to have to think of a really nice thank you gift for her. I also will need to update my registry bc I started it a while back when I didn’t know I was having a boy so left a lot of gender-specific stuff off.

I noticed that I’ve started feeling uncomfortable sitting all day at work. With 2.5 more months of work to go I was hoping this feeling would be delayed a bit longer, but what can you do!

My mom spelled my best friend’s name wrong on the baby shower invites (they’re cohosting). I’m SO upset πŸ™

@Cory_loves_this_girl:  Sorry to hear about the mixup.  Hopefully your friend will understand.  I have a unique last name  so it often gets either mis-spelled or mis-pronounced.  Obviously it would be nice if people got it right, but it doesn’t bother me anymore when they don’t.

Hello Ladies! How’s everyone feeling??

I feel so excited lately! Everything is going well, I feel good, I’m happy and in general life is pretty dang good right now. I started registering for the shower (October 5th) which is FUN! I went with my mom and got our stroller and car seat, and all my diapers are purchased. I’ve been sewing crib sheets like crazy (and getting pretty good at it I must say!) as well seeing the selection of primary colors are pretty slim πŸ™

BUT the best thing….we picked a name!! Penelope Bree Braukman it is. It was a toss up in between that and Morgan, and I feel great about the name and I love the fact I can talk with her now and have a name to call her by. She’s a dancing maniac and there starting to be rather strong. Hunny says he can’t quit feel them yet but soon I’m sure.

One thing I’m not really looking forward to, my glucose test, who’s already had it done? How’d it go?

@Miss. RubyLove:  congrats on picking a name. Penelope is adorable πŸ™‚ I’m so impressed that you’re able to sew your own crib sheets. After a ton of hunting around I finally settled on a few sets by Circo that are sold at Target.

I have another 2 weeks before my glucose test. A few of my friends with kids said that was their least favorite part of their Pre-natal appointments so I’m not expecting it’ll be pleasant but it needs to be done so I’m trying not to think about it too much.

@Miss. RubyLove:

@RunningGal:

 I had my glucose test last week.  It honestly wasn’t that bad.  You drink a really sugary orange soda-like drink, sit for an hour and they draw your blood. Unless you hate getting blood drawn, it’s nothing to give a second thought about.

My levels were high (I have PCOS and insulin resistance, so my OB told me to expect high levels), so yesterday I had the 3 hour test, which also wasn’t that bad, just boring. You have to fast, and they draw your blood for the fasting levels, then you get a sugary fruit punch (which was pretty good) and every hour for 3 hours they draw your blood.

I had a follow up ultra sound last week.  During our gender scan back in June, they found a “calcification” on her abdominal wall and wanted to check it again last week.  The doctor and ultra sound tech said they’ve seen it before and they’ve never seen it cause any problems.  It was still there last week, but hasn’t grown or moved and doesn’t appear to be bothering her, so the doctor isn’t worried about it.  I just need to have another ultra sound in early Oct to keep an eye on it.  Funny thing is, I just realized I have almost the same thing.  There is a small spot on my lower back that if I press on it, I can feel almost like a little ball, but it doesn’t hurt or bother me.  It’s been there for as long as I can remember.  Like mother like daughter.

@Fall_In_Love22:  glad to hear that the test wasn’t all that bad and that everything with your LO is looking good.

my shower invites went out cover the weekend which was really exciting. I’ll need to make sure I have everything on my registry that I need shortly since until now I have only casually added items as ideas came up.

we’re also getting our closet organizers installed today which will be nice to start organizing the house pre-baby. Can’t belthere there’s still 3 months to go. felled ready to meet my little man now!
