I have a calendar count down on my phone and as the days tick down to the wedding I get more and more excited/more and more dumbfounded about how quickly time is going by! Our engagement will have been 18 months and I have no idea where all that time has gone!
I have days where I’m still all about wedding planning and want to just knock out a bunch of projects and I have days where IDGAF and want to say “screw it! it’s good enough!” It doesn’t help that within the next month I have two baby showers, my bachelorette, a friend’s bachelorette and a friend’s wedding all before our big day. I’m so overwhelmed and so excited all at the same time. It’s such a surreal and confusing feeling, haha!
How’s everyone’s stress level?
I was just getting on here to post a IT’S NEXT MONTH post!! lol. My stress level goes back and forth. Currently, I am feeling good. Tomorrow, I may be stressed as all get out!!! I tend to feel good about things, then I look at my to-do list that is a mile long, and then I stress! But my list has every tiny detail that I need to do, most things which take all of 30 seconds to accomplish, but I just cannot do them yet! Our wedding is outside in a backyard, so we have to think of and do EVERYTHING!! I think my biggest anxiety comes in thinking that I’m forgetting about some small details. I finished stuffing and stamping all my invites last night, and plan to mail them Saturday or Monday (if my excitement will let me hold onto them that long!)

AHHH!! SO EXCITING! I’m also Nov 14th! It’s been nothing but fun and excitement so far! I’m sure the closer we get I’ll start to feel the pressure but I havent felt and dont really feel stressed out. We’ve enjoyed every minute of planning and organizing! 🙂 I still have so much to do and I have a full time job so I really SHOULD get more done but I just want to lay and relax and nap on my days off. LOL

I am so excited! I cannot believe November is approaching so quickly. My wedding is Nov 7, so I have a little over 5 weeks (tomorrow is 5 weeks out exactly, whaaat) to finalize our plans! I bought FI’s gift today, which was exciting, and we’re working on seating charts and itineraries. October is going to be such a crazy month, though, that I’m a little worried about getting all the loose ends wrapped up. I have a friend’s bachelorette party tomorrow and two Octoberfest celebrations this weekend, next weekend I’m going with the photographer to scout out the venue for photograph possibilities, the next weekend is my friend’s wedding, the weekend after is my bridal shower/bachelorette party, and the weekend after THAT is Halloween. *whew* Not to mention finishing up school projects so the wedding doesn’t cause me to fall behind!
But the stress is fun. I should be getting my dress back with alterations soon; so exciting! Registry gifts are also starting to arrive, so I’ve been slowly working my way through some of the first Thank You notes! Wheee!

I’m Nov 23rd and I feel like I have NOTHING ready. It’s a tiny Destination Wedding so there’s not much to do, but I’m failing at even those things! I don’t even have my dress back from being made, let alone alterations.

So much stress.
As a whole, most things are done. I just need to call and cancel the limo service, make my cake table backdrop, and get working on the signage. As well as do a decor mock-up and pack up all the decorations. And finalize the flower order. Along with finish getting my dress tailored.
And, then, you know, move in with my soon-to-be husband.
Nvm, most things aren’t done.
Stress, stress, stress.

InspieLass: Date twins!
I am freaking out. It seems like the time has FLOWN by. I have all the big stuff set with vendors, but it seems like all the little stuff just piles up. And my Fiance hasn’t even settled on tuxes yet – he just picked GROOMSMEN a couple of days ago because I was threatening meltdown. Fingers crossed we can go tomorrow to check out the tuxes in person and then cross one more thing off the list.
I thought I was being clever with my RSVP responses, so we did
___ Yes, Will be there with bells on!
___ Yes, Will be there, sans bells.
___ Unable to attend, in part due to bell controversy.
We thought it was funny but people are SUPER confused about the two “yes” responses. Lol. Oops. Hopefully I’ll get some RSVP’s back so I can get the seating charts started.
I am also waiting on white Christmas lights to show up in the stores. Fingers crossed that happens soon, or I am going to have to pay full price and order online.

November 6th here. I’m SO ready for it to be here by now. List wise, I don’t have much left to do, but my give a damn is surely broken. I hope to get something done this weekend.. as I wait for my very late RSVP’s to show up. LOl legit. give a woot broken. My friend was just asking how I was going to do my makeup, my hair, whats the cake going to be. My answer… “no clue.” lol Plain and simple.

November 21st checking in. I have done squat lately. Between working full-time and going to school over half-time it is really difficult to get anything done. I have a list of things that I haven’t even looked at because I’m too scared to. It’s like checking my bank account after a busy weekend, I just don’t wanna know!
But my fiance is going out of town in a couple weeks for a football game so my bridal party is coming over to help with any DIY’s I need to get done, including seating chart, minimal table decor, etc. I meet with my florist tomorrow to finalize everything which I’m super excited about. And I got my wedding band a couple weeks ago but I’m not really exciting about it so I’m going to go back and possibly exchange it.

kind of starting to freak out.
we are having a welcome party friday that we still don’t even have a location for.
we need to design the ceremony and our vows and get a cake and order flowers and I need to get my dress fitted, oh and lose 5 pounds and choose our food and wine and get his suit and figure out how the table set up will go and figure out the mantle decor and meet with our photographer and videographer and officiant and make up artist…
my Fiance is out of town so I’m sort of on “break” but when he gets back its going to be crazy with the wedding stuff.
I predict I wind up dropping a bunch of stuff at the last minute and just saying to hell with it, we have an officiant, we have food and drink, we’ll be married, good enough!

November 14! At this point, all of the major things are booked and we’ve started to pay off some of our balances (although we have several vendors that we have to pay the day of, which is kind of annoying).
I didn’t do much DIY because I am so not creative, but I have some signage, favors, sandals I am providing that I need to put together. Also need to set up some final meetings with the vendors.
For our honeymoon, we have our flights and hotel but need to book some activities. We should probably also get our marriage license soon 🙂
Almost at the finish line!

natbrown0703: Are you in a warm state? If not, how are you dealing with the outside part? Space heaters? We would LOVEEE to have to do this outside but I am afraid NJ in the mid Nov is cold.

bridalruss87: Yeah, I live in Louisiana. The bad part about that is we will not know what the weather will be like until about the day before! lol. November in LA can be hot as hell or freezing! And hot one day and freezing the next! So we are just planning to have those big propane heaters (that they have at outside restruaunts sometimes) on standby just incase
