I’m another South Florida bride who is not incorporating the traditional fall colors in my wedding. We certainly don’t get to see the lovely change of the fall season here lol. Our colors are plum, ivory, pewter & pear green which flows nicely with our Peacock theme… My bm dresses will be plum, groom & gm will wear steel grey tux, mob & mog will wear pewter & my dress is ivory. I plan on diy the boutoniers which will be peacock featers & calla lillies then incorporating the feathers in our centerpeices & bouguets as well.

We’re doing fall colors with the flowers below showing the variety of colors we’ll be having (except the ivory garden roses). Then we are making paper flowers from different orange papers to hang from the ceiling and votives around the centerpieces. The venue is quite charming itself, with antique chandeliers and fireplaces, so we don’t need anything for the walls and only minimal other decorations!

We’re going for warm, sophisticated elegance–black and ivory with metallic accents and LOTS of candlelight. Here’s my decor inspiration (specifically the centerpieces and tablecloths):

I too didn’t want the fall color theme. I didn’t really want a November wedding at first, I always pictured getting married in spring… but we just didn’t have enought time to plan for that and didn’t want to wait til 2012!
So we nixed the fall colors (although those colors are gorgeous in weddings I’ve seen from fall) and are going with champagne and black with ivory accents. The girls are wearing champagne, groom and groomsmen have champagne ties/vests and black shirts. I have an ivory dress with black shoes with black feathers on them:)
We are decorating with lots of candles. The aisle will have flameless candles down the aisle with a border of black, ivory, and champagne flower petals. The reception will have floating candle centerpieces and candles across the head table. My decorations are very simple, but I think the candles will give a great ambience and keep my costs down!
