Hey date twin!

Wow you have got things together! I’m just using one song for the ceremony- A song Named ” Jessie” ( my name) written by my soon to be hubby about me that he wrote when he first met me, its a slow instrumental.

( we really don’t have a big bridal party to do- we are mixing traditions)

Then when we are married, we will probably kick off with a song- more comical and rock n roll /blues type.

What are you thoughts so far for yours?

I am only having 3 songs for the ceremony part.

We are doing Cannon D for the bridal party to enter to.

Bridal March for me to come into

And, Bon Jovi – thank you for loving me for when everyone exits.

Our ceremony music is a surprise for the groom– the info won’t be included in the program.

The bridal party will walk in to the Vitamin String Quartet version of Drowning Pool’s “Bodies,” and I’ll walk in to the Quartet’s version of “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters. Our DJ is choosing other quartet songs for the before it starts… like “Iris,” “Time of Your Life,”…Not sure what we’ll use for the sand ceremony yet, but I have a list of 20ish songs that I want played, and my DJ is awesome, so I’m sure he’ll place them well.

Perfect timing for this thread! I recently started the programs and realized I need to make the ceremony first, dur. We are doing some non-traditional mixed in with traditional, so far we know that FI’s entrance will be to Bruno Mars “Marry You”. While people are being seated we will play Red Jumpsuit Aparatus’ “Your Guardian Angel” and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Snow” (which is our song, but not quite first dance material. But I think I still want to walk down the aisle to the wedding march. We are doing a CD for the ceremony, so we’ll have to time it just right and hear it to make sure it doen’t sound too out of place to add some traditional elements. I liek things like Vitamin String Quartet also, though, so they will probably be incorporated as well.

We only have a processional and recessional, which must be cued right before the first kiss…hehe…you’ll see why! We are aware of how 80s tastic this is.

Here’s what I’ll be coming down a big staircase and then down the aisle to…shocking, maybe, but this was playing in my apartment when he first came to visit me in Baltimore, so it can be filed under special songs for us ๐Ÿ™‚ And it’s the only one with the right beat to really walk down the aisle to, hehe!

And here’s what we’ll kiss and walk back down the aisle together too! It’s “our song” ๐Ÿ™‚
