I am an early October bride, and we’re DIYing flowers (trying to grow most of them too, whew!!l lol)

We’re going with Mums (in season), Zinnias (also mostly in season), and ordering Sunflowers from Sam’s Club.

I am a huge fan of hydrangeas, but I don’t know if I can get ahold of many that late in the season, I might end up ordering some, but they’re not too cheap :/

Hope that helps!! The options are endless 🙂

I’m hoping to do calla lilies 🙂 I’m going to get them in bulk from http://www.bridesign.com or another similar website.

We are getting married on November 13. For the guys, we’re doing Mango Calla Lillies. Bridesmaids, Coffee Break roses (very beautiful dark orangey colored rose). For me, I’m doing Charlotte roses and my fiance is wearing a Charlotte rose. And then for the centerpieces, we have huge, willow branches with orange orchids peeking through. Hope this helps!

@FutureHarp: i’m pretty sure sunflowers will still be in season in early november, especially in warmer climates. i think they last until the first frost, and seeing as you’re in texas, you should be ok. my cousin lives down the street from a sunflower farm and i distinctly remember driving to his house last october and seeing the whole field in bloom–it was beautiful! it certainly didn’t look like they were nearing the end of their season yet.

Well, if it’s a November wedding think of flowers you see in Thanksgiving arrangements. Roses, mums, sunflowers, gerba, certain lilies…very pretty!

We’re doing roses because they come in so many great fall colors and are a classic.

For centerpieces: hydrangeas/carnations & dendrobium orchids (white and light pink)

Bouquet: stephanotisis (white), roses (white), daliahs (light pink; if I can get them) or something puffy (chrysanthemums)
