I POAS again today and another bfn… I’m 12dpo and AF is due Friday so I guess I have to just wait and see! I don’t have my hopes up but I don’t think I’m completely out yet 🙂 fingers crossed

So I told myself I wouldn’t symptom spot this time and I have been loosey goosey about taking my temps.  Buuuuttt…. I’m 6dpo and yesterday and earlier today I noticed a tiny amount of spotting.  Which never happens to me this early.  Plus I’m feeling a lot pintching/cramping.  So now I’m starting to get excited.  I think I might poas Monday instead of waiting until Wednesday since that’s my DH birthday.  Oh baby making… such a mind game. 🙂

This is a long vent, so I apologize for it, but I have to let it out somehow.  My husband and I started TTC in April.  I went off birth control then, and although I knew that it could take some time, I hoped that I would be one of the lucky women that get pregnant easily.  I started temping and using OPKs, waiting for my cycle to start.   Instead, I didn’t get a period for 60 days, and after pestering my OB/GYN for provera, that also failed to bring on my period.  After that, bloodwork and an MRI revealed that I had high prolactin from a tumor in my pitutary gland.  I started on medication in August, and apparently I’m one of the lucky ones who is resistant to the medication so my prolactin levels aren’t decreasing like they should.

So I’m still on cycle 1 from April.  I just want to have a normal cycle so that we can TTC for real. I’ve still been using OPKs to try to help tell me what my body is doing since I only get to check my prolactin levels once a month.  For the last 2 weeks, I’ve had OPKs that were almost positive, only to have barely a line next day (and then a strong line the next day and repeat).  So every day I keep hoping that today is the day, and maybe my levels are decreasing so the almost positive OPK will turn into a positive OPK.  And I just never know when that’s going to happen.  It’s driving me crazy.  I don’t know how to not hope and just give up until I start a period or until my doctor tells me to do something else.

It doesn’t help that my younger brother announced that his girlfriend is pregnant and they are having the first grandchild of my family and its a boy and they are thinking of naming it after my father – I’ve had that name picked out for years and my husband and I love it.

I’m very type A and like to be in control, so I’m not handling this situation well.  I don’t know what I’m looking for, but I had to tell someone!

Boo, tested this morning at 9/10 DPO and BFN. O well, it still may be a little early. I know I’m not out yet, but I’m definitely on AF watch, because I have a short luteal phase and she should be arriving tomorrow or Saturday. If not, I will test again Sunday if I can wait that long.

@kate02121:  Hi TWW twin!! I am 9DPO today too!  I had a lousy BFN as well.  I am expecting AF anywhere from yesterday to Saturday so hopefully she stays away for both of us!!  I know I won’t be holding off until sunday.  I will test everyday until tues or AF.  Hopefully you have better will power than I do!

Still just hanging out over here. Today is cd 41/10 DPO according to the last set of crosshairs. I’m feeling remarkably normal. I had a headache last night but I suspect that had to do with my allergies.  Either way I’ll probably test Saturday morning since I’m running a half marathon. I dint want to push it too hard if a lo is trying to snuggle in! Either way I’m not feeling any different so I’m not overly optimistic for this crazy cycle. Although, it would be nice to tell Darling Husband that we are KU on our anniversary on Sunday!

@princessbelle:  Boo for you too! I’ll be away until Sunday so that’s why I’m trying to hold out…but I’m sure a few tests will find their way into my suitcase “just in case” haha. It sucks so bad to literally see NOTHING…like not even anything I could stretch and pretend was a squinter. Ah well.

@cant.wait.to.be.mrs.d:  Thank you!

Welp… you all know my mantra of “Pee early, pee often” and so far I’ve gotten 3 BFNs.  Not even, like, maaaaaaybe that’s a line.  No shadows.  No squinting.  Nothing.Nada.ZIP.

I’ll test again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next, until I finally run out of pee sticks (don’t worry, I only have 3 more).

Ugh.

@DaneLady:  Boo. What brand tests are you using?

@berkeleygirl:  Hugs. I hope you get some news,  and insight soon.

@Mrs.Elivs:  I picked up the Target brand tests that were right beside the FRER, but when I got home I realized they were those evil BLUE DYE tests 🙁  So, I bought FRER as well, and used both yesterday, and only the blue dye one today… I’ll use my last blue dye one tomorrow, and then a FRER on Sunday because we’re going to a wedding.  Then I have one test left for next week if AF doesn’t show.
