I’m getting married there on May 18, so I’ll have lots of information to share after that. I have heard nothing, but amazing things about it! I liked that two of the packages include a full  reception, rather than just a private dinner, since we still wasnted the reception feel!

We were upgrade to Preferred when we arrived and it seems like the timeshare folks are more pushy with those in Preferred, because none of our guests who were in regular rooms were approached by the timeshare people. We had to let them know several times that we were not interested, and did not attend their “special breakfast”, but it was pretty easy to avoid.

The wedding was amazing. Although we used outside florists, we met them at the gate and brought the flowers onto the resort ourselves, saving the outside vendor fee, and there was not an outside vendor fee charged for our photographers, just the daily pass. We ended up just paying one outside vendor fee for the DJ, but you can definitely get the same environment with a iPod and speaker system.

No, but I just got married at the Now Amber in Puerto Vallarta and it was spectacular.

I have not stayed there but I have stayed in the amresorts and I really think they’re wonderful. Probably the best when it comes to all inclusive. I found that they do a time-share push right away when you check in, but then leave you alone. It was easy to say we were there to enjoy our vacation and were not interested at the time. Dreams and Secrets are my favorites. I really think you can’t go wrong.
