Dress remorse is totally normal.  Totally.  But you need to take a step back and look at yourself objectively.  You look gorgeous, that dress is gorgeous and you do NOT look huge.  I don’t even think that it would be in your health’s interest to lose 15#…I believe that would put you in the underweight category….which can be as dangerous as obese!

girl, you trippin!  you look gorgeous in that dress!  stop looking at dresses, and definitely don’t compare yourself to other girls, it’s dangerous.  if i compared myself to you, i don’t think i’d eat from now until my wedding this summer!

Wow I think you look stunning! I had the same moment of panic after purchasing my dress, but I honestly think you look great (and your waist is sooooo tiny)!

You’re tiny!  I don’t see hips from hell.  I see ample chest, tiny waist, trim arms, healthy glow, cute smile, and some LOOOOONG legs under the poof only a bride can wear.

Now, I DID have to find a second dress, and it has made me actually excited about the wedding instead of constantly thinking “why can’t we elope?”  So if you happen – HAPPEN – to run across a dress you adore, makes you act like a five year old on a sugar high, and completely changes how you think about your wedding, go for it.  If not – you have a dress.  It’s rough to find a new one.  It’s hard to sell a dress and harder to return it.  You’re gorgeous, your dress is flattering, you’re marrying the man of your dreams.

@MonAmi: I would die to have your dress. Seriously, you look absolutley gorgeous. I think every bride has a little remorse right after they purchase their dress and then try to find a reason to justify their remorse….you dont look big AT ALL…period. Simply devine!

Ohmygosh. You are beautiful! You have a figure to die for, and your dress looks a-MAY-zing on you!! I’m not trying to compare, but for the point of reassuring you, I’m a solid 5 inches shorter than you and would be the happiest gal in the world if I could get down to 145 pounds. It’s not really my place to assume anything about your body composition, but just looking at your picture, I really can’t imagine where you’d be able to lose more weight. Your arms are slender and your waist is tiny. Even if, for the sake of argument, your hips were disporportionate to your body frame (I don’t think that’s the case, by the way), the beauty of your dress is that it conceals that. What’s emphsized is your lovely hourglass figure. Plus, you look so happy!

Everyone is her own worst critic, but we’re here to tell you that you look fab. Trust your original decision!
