It depends how big the agency is. If it’s just a small family operation you’re probably SOL as there is probably only one person responding to inquiries.

we are actually thinking about switching agents because although we like the insurance and the company is really highly rated, our agent always makes us feel like we are pestering her if we have a question or want to change anything. call the main number or see if there is a customer service number for the company, and explain the situation. they’ll probably be able to switch you to a different agent.

Usually, there are multiple agents in any city…but each agency usually has one agent.  For example, I have State Farm and there are MANY State Farm agents here, each with his/her own office.

If you don’t like the person who called you, call another agent for the same insurance company and tell them you got an online quote, but were put off by the attitude of the person who called. I’m sure someone would be willing to be helpful to get your business.
