Pretty much in the title. I managed to run a mile in under 8 minutes! This was partly because of my pissed off mood (I was annoyed at how badly my final today went) and also my vibram five fingers, which I was happy to try out today. Also I think my consistent cardio work has been helping a lot (been going almost every day for a while now)
Never done that before in my life, and never thought I could DO that in my life. And this was on a full stomach (I had a heavy breakfast and lunch). I only had to stop because I had a really painful stitch that brought tears to my eyes and I was feeling nauseous from all the food in my stomach.
Going to try again tomorrow on an empty stomach when I go for my workout and see how it goes!
Also managed to run for 2.5km straight without stopping, something else I have never ever done before. All under 14 minutes!
Made me really think, if my body is capable of this, what more can it do? *cheese alert* it is honestly an amazing piece of machinery. If I am good to it, it will be good to me. Which means not eating stupidly low calories ever again (I have been getting much better at that, hitting between 1500-1900 on the weekdays and about 2000-2500 on the weekends!) and eating healthy clean foods with some treats every now and again, as well as exercise (will be starting Stronglifts 5×5 soon)
