Some of these are slightly tasteful, but who are these pictures for? I don’t think it’s appropriate for facebook, a pregnancy announcement or for the living room wall.
If I took one like this I’d have it taken by my Fiance or on timer and just keep it on my computer and maybe look at it several years later for a nostalgic ‘wow, I can’t believe I was that huge’. I doubt I’d show anyone..

@MrsYoshida: My thoughts too. I would never get these kinds of photos done professionally. I’d just do it at home for my own eyes. No way would I be sharing!
Cute clothed maternity shoots are different of course. But naked… no.

I think the last one you posted is a beautiful piece of art. However, I’m not a model so I don’t think I’d suddenly become one when pregnant, lol. Not for me and definitely not for everyone.

@jayjaybee: Ahh! What is she doing out there? Isn’t she cold?
A few from http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com have haunted my dreams…

@jayjaybee: Nipple frostbite is never beautiful. There’s snow out there!

@AlwaysSunny: WHOA!!! I refrain from commenting on those…
Some of these examples are lovely but I still wouldn’t do them.
Also, I just feel nude maternity photos are so 90’s. So like Demi Moore ish?
I heared that these days people just do a normal family style shoot or like a location shoot.

@LittleRedOwl: My Fiance and I talked about these pics when I get pregnant. Its a No! Lol… But he did say when the baby is born, he wants to take a shirtless pic, not nude, just his upper body with holding our baby. My Fiance is Native American Indian/Austrian. He has his family tribe tattoos, some done by his grandfather where he grew up on the indian reservation. So we think that would be a nice contrast. His family tribe tattooed body holding our new born baby. I actually can’t wait for those pics. Lol.

I think they are OK as a keep sake, but not to share.

I think some of them are beautiful, but I wouldn’t share them with anyone but my hubby.

I mean- if you want to get them done for you and your husband that is one thing. But dude- you should not show them to anyone who was not involved in the active baby making and certainly not on social media. God.

@LittleRedOwl: I had some done with my last baby, they were very tasteful though…the photgrapher was really cool and I didn’t go completely nude, just topless in one or two, the rest were bra type pics. Pregnancy is beautiful to me, and I choose to embrace that during my last one 😉

@mepayne: Yes this!
No desire to see my family/friends naked, in any circumstance. Even if they arae babies.

I think if you want to get them done more power to ya, but don’t share them on Facebook/use them as birth announcement/etc. I know a lot of people think pregnancy is beautiful and all, but I personally find stretched out bellys (bellies?) creepy. I can’t help it! lol

@Westwood: Me too! Glad I’m not the only one. I’m pregnant with my third baby and pregnancy “bellies” freak me out. I just don’t find it cute or anything.
As far as nude maternity photos, I think you should take pictures of whatever part of yourself you want, but for the love of all things holy, don’t subject other people to them!
