@Shoshota:  You think poop in the bathroom is bad, imagine that post-explosion clean up!  hahaha

I think as long as you leave the bathroom as it was when you came, it’s no biggie.

@Shoshota:  I don’t see why it’s a problem if other people do it.

As long as it’s not a communal magazine/newspaper she’s taking in, it’s her business how she does her business. Personally I wouldn’t take reading material in with me, but I don’t judge those who do. As the famous book says, “Everybody poops.”

Everyone’s systems work differently.

Some people go multiple times a day, some don’t even go every day. Some are very regular, others are not so regular.

Just because you aren’t comfortable going #2 at work (which is fine) doesn’t mean others shouldn’t.

Umm… I don’t understand people who take note of what people do in the bathroom.  It’s weird to actively listen to people doing their business…

My ex would not poop ANYWHERE in public.  It was quite annoying actually because he insisted on going home no matter what we were in the middle of doing.  Now that’s nuts.

I definitely do.  With my system, it’s totally unavoidable.  I don’t think it causes any sort of problems that I know of!

ETA: I know some people that live with others who prefer to go at work/the gym/whatever as to not do it when they are home with their roommates/spouses/whoever.  This is especially true in NYC and our tinnyyyyyy apartments!

@UpstateCait:  Ah that’s awesome! I see nothing wrong with pooping at work! I have to go all the time so I pretty much will poop anywhere, but my routine involves pooping at working at least twice a day.

Sorry for using the work pooping in that sentence so many times! haha!

@abbie017:  The only time I actively notice other people’s habits is when I hear people on the phone in the bathroom as I’m passing by. WHY?!

@NJmeetsBX:  I had a roommate like that. I can understand preferring to go at home, but I’m not going to change the whole course of my day/plans because of when I have to use the bathroom.

I just had this convo with a coworker the other day!  We were both saying how great it is to be a staff of 3 females, and we can all see when the other has gone to the washroom, so we allow eachother a “window” of at least 10 minutes, and we never go at the same time.  I hate going in a public washroom, and I’ve tried SO many times to change my bodies natural schedule, but unfortunately it’s between 8am and 11am and there’s no two ways about it.

I have to go almost every morning while at work. Haha, there’s no way I’d be able to hold it all day long and wait to get home at night.

Oh what a snobbish post :S It’s perfectly natural, choose your moments if you can, wipe, flush, spray. wash your hands and leave! THAT’S WHAT TOILETS ARE FOR :s!

I work retail and my schedule varies, so I do it at work probably 50% of my shifts! I am super regular, so when late morning rolls around each day, it’s time to go, no matter where I am.

Honestly, I don’t understand why some people think that’s crazy. I’ve read that holding it in is bad for you, and I know (from experience) trying to hold it in makes it harder to focus at work. Plus, I know and trust the people who clean our restrooms regularly, and have pitched in myself on a few occasions, so I KNOW those puppies are clean. I’ve never clogged a toilet at work, either. (Pro tip – flush before you’re finished going, to avoid clogging the toilet)

BF literally can’t poop anywhere other than home, though, and he used to work over 40 hours a week!!! I think he’s the crazy one 🙂
