What percentage of guests actually show up at a wedding and reception? I plan on inviting around 175 people to the wedding and reception (and around 40 will be out of town guests). I am worried that I will have less than 100 show up and my hall will be too big and there will be too many empty seats.
thanks

Usually, it’s 80% of guests if your list is under 100, 70% if it’s over.
It’s hard to anticipate; people you expect to come won’t and people you thought would never get their act together to make it will come. We invited 113, and honestly thought we’d have 98 come, but we’re having 81. We invited a lot of out-of-towners, and are ourselves Out of Town (getting married in our hometown, 5 hrs away).
I would guess you’d have something like 130 attend.
