amanda9917 :  not idiot proof. Mine was similar and I’d get back check marks where it said it write their name.

Do the return address or number them from your own sanity.

I numbered them but in the end everyone who bothered sending the rsvp in remembered to write their names.

I printed my RSVP on pearlescent paper and used a yellow highlighter in the bottom corner on the back.  It wasnt very noticable and no special equipment was needed.  It not only was helpful for RSVPs with no name but also for keeping parties together.

    It’s just a recommendation.

We used a pencil to mark a small number on the back of each RSVP card, but all of our guests sent theirs back with their names on it so we didn’t end up needing the numbers.

I numbered mine in an unobtrusive place in pencil. I think you do have to weigh the risk that you’re implying someone is too dumb or careless to send back a simple RSVP, but at the time I felt it was the least obvious way to do it.

I wish I’d thought of the invisible ink!

if you have the extra time or are willing to you could write the names on the RSVP card as well so its done when your guest get the card.
