We finally made a decision on furniture – we decided to get a real dresser as opposed to a changing table or child’s size dresser – we figure it’ll get more use that way (actually it matches our bed so we might move it once Baby Smush-face gets big enough to destroy it).
I really wanted a nice glider and ottoman but I ended up finding this glider/recliner at the furniture store – I’m super excited about it, it’s so comfy.
So here’s the whole nursery inspiration. Definitely want to do the trees but I need to find some other artwork for the walls. I’m making the bed skirt, valance and pillow from that awesome fabric because I couldn’t find anything I liked.
What do you think? Is it too grown-up looking for a nursery?

Great photoshopping skills! I could really see how you plan on putting the nursery together and I think it will look amazing. Even though the colours are dark (which generally give off a grown-up vibe) I think its perfect.

I love it! It is grown up looking but I think you’ll find that once you put in some more baby stuff it’ll soften up pretty quickly! I think we just about finished our nursery today- its definitely an exciting process.

It looks great! I don’t think it looks too grown up, besides, you’ll probablly be the one looking at most of it for quite a while yet.

no not too grown up! my nephew’s nursery is similar to this (but jungle themed). They said it’s easier because when he turns 4 (or around there) he’ll have different interests. Then you don’t have to redecorate every stage they hit 🙂

So pretty I love it. Where is the bedding and picture from?
I’m actually making that myself. The fabric is from Hobby Lobby.
It seems like there are very few choices for bedding that aren’t pink or blue or green with safari animals. I wanted something neutral.
The crib is called DaVinci Kalani in the Espresso color.

I love it! I dont think its too grown up at all..I love the tree. Will it be a wall sticker or hand painted on?

I love it and don’t think it’s too grown up at all, it’s a room that will actually grow with the baby. I also really love the dresser, where is it from?

Love it! I’m making my stuff too, so please let me know any tips you figure out.

It’s a decal I found on etsy. I COULD paint it but I think the sticker might be a better route.
Dresser is from Ashley Furniture but it’s called Naomi so if you google “Naomi dresser” you should be able to find it.
Will do…hopefully I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew. I figure most of it is straight edges so how hard could it be? (Famous last words).
