I lost 52lbs about two years ago and Ive slowly gained it back. Since that original weight loss, I’ve had four surgeries and several other issues that kept me out of the gym. I’ve attempted to lose weight the same way I did before – watching my calories and exercising with no results. My doctor has sent an order for me to visit a nutritionist and I will have my first visit with her this week. Has anybody seen a nutritionist? What can I expect? Shes already told me to keep my food journal for a week prior to seeing her. Im slightly nervous about what she will tell me. lol
A little background on me…I’m anemic and get blood transfusions on a regular basis, along with taking 1000mg of iron daily. One of my surgeries was to remove a bleeding polyp in my intestine that was contributing to my anemia, we are trying to get my numbers stable now. I also take 50,000 units of vitamin d weekly due to my numbers being low. The rest of my labs are normal, thyroid and everything else you can think of has been checked as well. I do have PCOS and would absolutely love to drop my extra weight!!
