Nuvaring made me – for lack of a better term – bat-shit crazy. I have NEVER had bc make me feel as insane as nuvaring. I did it for 2 months and went back to the bcp. Good luck – my experience was horrible. But I do have one friend who swears by it.

Two months ago I was nauseous for like a week on nuvaring. Hasn’t happened since.

I became suicidal. Batshitcrazy is a slight understatement for me.

Careful with that thing. I was on it for 8 months and started getting really depressed around 6 months.

As soon as I figured out what the problem was and stopped putting it in, it was like the clouds had parted and a heavy, wet coat was lifted off my body.

I hate NuvaRing.

Yes it’s normal.  I have been on NuvaRing for years and I freaking love it.  My periods are like 3 days.

And just because this is hella funny & you are not feeling well:

Ah, I used it for 2 months. WORST EXPERIENCE for me. I was a mess. When I stopped, I looked like I was pregnant for 2 weeks! I had never been that bloated in my mid-drift area, I was so embarrased I worse loose sweaters to try and hide it. It was a solid 2-3 weeks of heavy bloating and pregnant looking for me, just awful.

I LOVED the Nuva Ring. I am off it now because we are TTC. If the cramping doesn’t subside in the next couple days, call your doctor.

I had the NR for about 3 years and loved it. My body was a little out of whack when I first got on it but then it was smooth sailing, and I even skipped every other period by using them back to back.

I have to tell you though that I recently (5 months) got Mirena and it’s soooooo much better! I’ve had no problems with it either but the biggest bonus is that I don’t get my period anymore 🙂

It took my body about 3 months to really adjust to the ring.  I’ve been on it about 5 years now and I LOVE it.  I only get slightly nausous when I insert a new ring (and only for a few hours).  Definitely call your doctor if the cramping doesn’t subside in a few days.

I was on NuvaRing several years ago and didn’t have any problems with it besides the typical issues being on birth control and feeling bloated all the time. I loved the NuvaRing because I never had to worry about it. I’ve also heard that the NuvaRing is better than the pill because it gives you a steady dose of the hormones rather than taking the pill at a certain time each day (but I have no idea how true this is, or if it’s even a good thing). Maybe your nausea is unrelated?

I’ve been on NuvaRing for over a year. My last 2 months of periods I have had horrible cramps. My acupuncturist, gave me these pills. They work almost immediately! They are called Tong Jing Won. You take 20 little bee bees and the cramps are completely gone. It’s a serious miracle to me! I recommend anyone with horrible period cramps try them!
