I’ve been a glasses wearer for about 10-years but decided I’d try my hand at contacts for my wedding day. I went in to pick them up yesterday. I’m already pretty nifty and getting them in and out but I just have a question on the way they feel.
I feel like I can see/feel them in my eyes when I look up/down/around. Will this ever get better? Do you eventually get used to this? The woman who helped teach me how to use them said that these are pretty thick lenses so it might be harded to adjust to.

Are they soft or RGP lenses?

I can feel mine sometimes. I have a lot of allergy problems so allergens will build up on my eyes and I will feel the contacts because of that. But I’ve never been able to see mine. I wear soft lenses so it they are hard lenses I have no advice.

Well I was going to say if they are RGP, then I would definitely think you would feel something, especially your first time wearing. I’m a little surprised that you are feeling something with soft lenses though. Maybe they are a bit dry…drops would help to keep them more lubricated and less noticable to you.

I would give it a couple days. If it’s the first time you have ever worn them, they may feel weird.
Also check to make sure they are not inside out. Mine have a number printed on the outside, so if i can read it clearly they are inside out, but if it’s backwards, we’re cool.
And I agree, keep some drops with you.

Thanks girls! It’s really only the left one that’s causing me problems right now. I do have dry eyes regularly so have some drops with me that I’ve used once today.
I’m going to check and see if it’s inside out! Thanks so much!!
