I bought an item on ebay. The seller took his sweet time getting it to me. I finally get it and I submit feedback. (BAD. WAIT TO SUBMIT FEEDBACK UNTIL YOU HAVE TRIED THE ITEM FIRST!) The item doesn’t work. I contact the seller. He suggests several moronic ideas (like did I try turning it on), then tells me to return the item. He says he will either send me a new one or give me a refund. When he receives it, I am sent a "Case" to which I have to respond if I will accept a refund for the item. I respond no because I want a refund PLUS the shipping I paid! Ebay closes the case (since I said no) and the seller proceeds to completely ignore me since the window has passed where I can file a claim on the item. I’m so ticked! So I write all the info down and contact ebay (via phone). They immediately issued me a refund AND they sent me a $25 gift certificate to cover what I paid for return shipping! I HEART EBAY! So if you’re having a problem, here are two tips:
1. DON’T LET THE WINDOW PASS TO FILE A CLAIM! You have 45 days. If your issue is not resolved on day 24, file the claim!! Even if the seller claims they are working to resolve it.
2. If your seller is an @$$, just call ebay. Their policies protect YOU the buyer!!
Again, I HEART ebay!
